Cricket West Indies (CWI) has revealed the upcoming lineup adjustments for the West Indies Men’s team ahead of their three-match T20 International (T20I) series against Pakistan, scheduled from July 31 to August 3 at the Broward County Stadium in Florida.

These squad modifications are made in comparison to the team that recently competed against Australia in a five-match T20 series in the Caribbean.

Notably, shares the CWI release on the matter, fast bowler Shamar Joseph has been included in the squad, alongside batters, Dominican Alick Athanaze, Keacy Carty, and Johnson Charles. They replace players Alzarri Joseph, Evin Lewis, Brandon King, and Shimron Hetmyer, who are no longer part of this series.

It also reports that Alzarri Joseph has been given a break from the T20 fixtures to help manage his workload, allowing him to rest before a demanding schedule later in the year. He has been actively involved in the recent UK tour and the home series against Australia. Evin Lewis, meanwhile, is reportedly unavailable due to an injury and will return home for further assessment before the 50-over segment of the series.

Both Shimron Hetmyer and Brandon King suffered side strains during the final T20 match against Australia in St. Kitts, said CWI. Hetmyer has been ruled out of the current series, while King’s participation in the upcoming one-day matches is still uncertain as he undergoes evaluation for his injury. The 50-over matches commence on August 8 in Trinidad.

Take a look at the test batting averages of the current West Indies batsmen, none is better than Athanaze and Hodge. Both Athanaze and Hodge are in the top 4 in test cricket of those playing test cricket right now. When it comes to t20i Athanaze is right at the top. But,according to Sammy an average of 25 is nothing to cry about even if it is better than all the rest.MEME, Kavem Hodge is the most sound, the most correct batsman on the west indies test team presently. What Sammy is doing to Hodge and Athanaze,Lochart Sebastien and others did to Dominican cricketers, especially the Kalinago cricketers. In years passed to make the national cricket team one or his father would have to be in Saints,Somerset,Spartans or Cavaliers and be part of the brotherhood able to buyJohnny walker, black label, coconut water with gin,BBQ chicken and goat water.Athanaze and Hodge average is not good enough because they are Dominicans, and Sammy is being supported by shameless and crooked MEME and other Dominicans.

Alick needs to spend several hours at the crease, batting, and batting, and batting and batting and batting, to get into form and to boost his confidence and temperament.
The West Indies test team in particular has NO top notch batter. Alick is obviously talented, but he needs to develop the temperament and discipline to dig in and concentrate. I think he can only acquire that skill by playing test cricket.
Sammy was 10000000000% correct to have dropped him for the test matches against Australia. He was in poor form, but Hodge could have been tried, though his inclusion would have changed nothing.
