Information reaching Dominica News Online (DNO) indicates that a female Customs officer was arrested at the Douglas Charles Airport on Friday, February 16, 2024, on suspicion of importation of cannabis.
DNO was reliably informed that she is currently in police custody while the investigation continues.
DNO will provide more details on the matter in a later publication.
This case will soon be DISCONTINUED. Don’t worry my sister, you live in Dominica where the real winning game is money.
I never got the reason why people would try importing cannabis/ marijuana into Dca when we have so much of it on island plus so much land to plant it. And for rying out loud one can say its legal to grow because we have a three trees (?) aloowance per household family member(?). Plus if you are one of Mrs. Boowick snipers or connected to then you can grow as much as you want en meetan-Roseau.
Well, I say jail her just like the others, period! You cant be working in customs and doing such crooked things. Plus, Mr. Abudullah will soon be bringing money so all our broke ahses will be getting a little sum-sum except for jean-bawi and ahfuahwee. Thanks to Dicee
Lock her up and throw the keys away. She’s an example of the so called trusted employees lwho allows these criminal transactions ( not only in Dominica). And you see them so fancy with in their high end cars and apple watches
etc and outfits and you wonder. Lock her up and throw the damn keys away in the Indian Ocean. Damn Bum.
in time to come… who will hold politicians accountable for the country funds… ?..who will hold then accountable? the police academy? Dominica police academy? have a good laugh 😂 …..the country funds building castles with very high walls…..what about the building by the credit union in Roseau? whose own?have another laugh 😂
I don’t believe trafficking in illicit drugs carries a custodial sentence. I have read way too many cases where people have been caught with sizeable quantities of cocaine and they are fined and released.
One of the crimes the ex premier of the BVI, Mr Andrew Fahie was charged with was trafficking drugs. The strong rumor is his dear friend in Dominica was one of them too and it was for the sake of friends like the one hear Mr Fahie didn’t enter into a plea deal. So my point is monkey see monkey do.
There never was any “strong rumour.” There were, however, very audible public expressions of hope (by some UWP supporters and Skerrit haters) that certain top DLP members were involved and would suffer the same fate. Lass manti!!
How much cannabis?
I know that living conditions in Dominica especially with rising inflation and starvation wages and salaries are dire. Because of this, many residents are chancing illicit undertakings to make ends meet.
No! Always operate above board. When caught the consequences of your illegal action leave an everlasting stain on your reputation and most likely will cost you your freedom for a lengthy time.
When the head of a country is corrupt the whole civil service becomes corrupt. Monkey see monkey do.
