As part of the WIFA Women’s Tournament, the Dominica Football Association teams participated in a seminar aimed at empowering women in sports.  According to information on the Association’s social media, the seminar was held under the auspices of the United Nations and the Build Back Equal Project. The theme for the day was “Our Goal… Her Equal Rights.”

Focused on mental health and physical health, presentations included gender-pertinent breast and reproductive health. A range of panelists, distinguished in their fields,  shared their expertise with the young women.

The list included Yoland London, Chair of the SVGFF Executive Women’s Committee; Dr. Peters, an Acute and Emergency Medicine Specialist; Dr. Jozelle Miller, a Clinical Psychologist; Dr. Nekeisha Lewis, an OBGYN; and Rhema Lewis, a United Nations representative.

The WIFA tournament is being held in St Vincent and the Grenadines from September 14-20, 2025.
