Dominica America Scholarship and Culture, Inc. (DASCI) has announced that it is now welcoming applications for financial support from Primary School graduates in Dominica who will be entering Secondary School for the academic year 2025-2026.
This year, DASCI has identified eighteen (18) Primary Schools to take part in the Scholarship Program. These schools include Atkinson, Castle Bruce, Concord, Jones Beaupierre, Morne Jaune, Salybia, San Sauveur, Sineku, and Warner from the Eastern region, alongside Bellevue Chopin, Giraudel, Grand Bay, Morne Prosper, Newtown, Petite Savanne, Soufriere, Tete Morne, and Trafalgar from the Southern region. A minimum of twenty (20) scholarships will be provided to qualified candidates this year. The deadline for submitting applications is set for May 1, 2025, and they can be sent via email or postal service.
The role of School Principals is reportedly vital in helping their students navigate the application process. Accordingly, the heads of the eighteen selected Primary Schools will receive notifications regarding this scholarship opportunity for students moving up to High School. Should a Principal not receive this communication, they are encouraged to reach out to DASCI at [email protected], providing their contact details.
Established in 2007, Dominica America Scholarship & Culture, Inc. (DASCI) is a nonprofit organization recognized under section 501(c)(3), primarily comprised of individuals from Dominica. Over its years of operation, DASCI reports that it has awarded a total of 136 scholarships amounting to US$ 87,450 to assist Primary School graduates facing financial hardships. Scholarships are available to students who fulfill the criteria specified in the application process.
Patricia David, the President of DASCI, expressed the organization’s dedication by stating, “DASCI members and supporters are motivated and committed to continue helping students in need.”
Each year, the organization invites students from a distinct selection of Primary Schools to apply for scholarships. The selection of schools varies annually to ensure that, over time, all eligible schools have the opportunity for their students to access the Scholarship Program.
The application form and relevant information are available on the DASCI website at www.DASCI.org.
