DHTA’s Hike Fest 2025 coming up in May

The Dominica Hotel and Tourism Association (DHTA) has announced the upcoming Hike Fest 2025, billed as a significant event aimed at celebrating the island’s natural beauty and promoting adventure tourism. Hike Fest 2025 is scheduled to take place every Saturday in May and will feature five hikes of varying difficulty levels, appealing to both locals and visitors, revealed a press statement by

As Dominica continues to establish itself as a leading eco-tourism destination, Hike Fest 2025 seeks to enhance the island’s reputation as a hub for hiking and adventure tourism in the Caribbean. Organizers say participants will have the opportunity to explore some of the island’s well-known trails and attractions, including Middleham Falls, a segment of the Waitukubuli National Trail (WNT), Morne Diablotin, Victoria Falls, and an anticipated night hike on the Syndicate trail.

The DHTA recognizes the success of Carnival 2025 as a strong foundation for the ongoing growth of Dominica’s tourism sector. This year, the island welcomed a significant number of visitors, leading to record attendance at Carnival events. DHTA members have reported a notable increase in bookings and business in comparison to previous years during this period.

In light of this positive momentum, Hike Fest 2025 is expected to further enhance Dominica’s profile as a desirable destination for adventure and cultural tourism, highlighting the island’s unique offerings within the Caribbean region.

The DHTA also expressed gratitude to the sponsors who have committed their support to ensure the success of Hike Fest 2025. Their contributions reflect a shared commitment to promoting sustainable tourism, outdoor adventure, and the conservation of Dominica’s natural resources, shared the group. Current sponsors include:

– Jolly’s Pharmacy
– H.H.V Whitchurch & Company Ltd.
– Sustainable Earth
– Republic Bank

As preparations for the event continue, the DHTA welcomes additional sponsors to join in supporting Hike Fest 2025. Sponsorship opportunities are available at various levels, providing a chance to enhance the experience for all participants. For more information regarding sponsorship, interested parties are encouraged to contact the DHTA.
