
Dominica, along with the other Eastern Caribbean countries operating Citizenship by Investment Programmes (CIPs), is set to participate in the annual Caribbean Investment Summit 2025 (CIS25) in Antigua and Barbuda from April 22 to 26.
Representatives from Dominica are expected to arrive on the island next week.
The event will take place at the American University of Antigua conference centre located at Jabberwock Beach.
Charmaine Donovan, the Chief Executive Officer of the Antigua and Barbuda CIU, emphasized that this summit, which focuses on the themes of integrity, stability, and sustainability, arrives at a crucial time.
Prime ministers and heads of respective CIP units from St. Kitts and Nevis, Grenada, and St. Lucia will attend this important conference in St. John’s.
With these programmes under increased scrutiny from European Union nations and the United States Donovan assured that an agreement signed a year ago aims to bolster their operations. She highlighted that CIS25 is a proactive effort to address international concerns about these programmes.
Antigua and Barbuda is focusing on integrity and transparency in its processes, reportedly making its programme widely regarded as the ‘gold standard’ for CIPs in the region.’
