The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) has announced that the Nature Island of Dominica is serving as one of the title Platinum Sponsors for Caribbean Week in New York (CWNY 2025).  This event, described by the organization in a press release as the flagship gathering of the CTO in North America, is scheduled to take place from June 1 to June 6, 2025, at The Westin New York at Times Square. It also states that the sponsorship highlights the continued growth and regional support for the event, with an increasing number of CTO member countries and tourism partners participating.

In addition to Dominica, the  USVI is also a platinum sponsor. The full sponsorship lineup includes several other regional partners. Antigua and Barbuda, The Bahamas, and Bermuda are designated as Gold Sponsors, while St. Kitts and Sandals Resorts International are Silver Sponsors. Anguilla and Barbados are listed as Bronze Sponsors. The expanding base of sponsors reflects a collective regional effort to enhance the Caribbean’s international presence, says the CTO. It also emphasizes the strategic role of CWNY as a platform for tourism development, investment, and cultural diplomacy.

Dona Regis-Prosper, Secretary-General and CEO of the CTO, commented on the significance of the event, stating, “Caribbean Week in New York is more than a celebration — it’s a strategic convergence of our region’s top minds and markets. We’re encouraged by the growing support from our members and partners, which shows the value they see in this marquee event.”

The 2025 edition of Caribbean Week in New York is themed “Caribbean Resilience: Crafting Tomorrow’s Tourism.” It aims to highlight the region’s diversity and dynamism through a variety of high-impact activities, including sessions on artificial intelligence and hospitality innovation, the launch of the CTO Reimagine Plan, and the Caribbean Media Awards. Other key events include the Caribbean Women’s Leadership Dinner and Awards, forums on airline and cruise connectivity, discussions on the Orange Economy and creative industries, a showcase for Caribbean youth, and an Allied Member session on emerging markets. The event will also feature the relaunch of CTO’s Hospitality Assured Program and conclude with the Caribbean Cultural Showcase, a consumer event celebrating the region’s music, art, and cuisine.

According to organizers, Caribbean Week in New York continues to be the leading regional tourism event in the United States, attracting government officials, travel professionals, media representatives, diaspora leaders, and Caribbean enthusiasts.
