Dominica introduces online immigration forms to streamline visitor entry

Marva Williams- CEO, DDA

Dominica is set to streamline the travel experience for visitors with the introduction of online immigration forms for embarkation and disembarkation, effective October 18. This new initiative aims to simplify the entry process, making it more convenient for travelers arriving on the island. This initiative is designed to enhance the travel experience by simplifying the entry process for visitors to the island.

Online Embarkation and Disembarkation Procedure:
Travelers can complete the online form by visiting https://edcard.dominica.gov.dm/. The process includes the following steps:

1. Access the Website: Fill out and submit the online ED card form at any time before your travel date.
2. Obtain Confirmation and QR Code: After submitting the form, travelers will receive a confirmation along with a QR code. It is important to either save this information on a mobile device or print it for presentation at the entry point.
3. Show Required Documents: Upon arrival, travelers must present their confirmation and QR code, along with their passport, to the Immigration and Customs officials.

“By introducing online immigration forms, we are taking a significant step towards modernizing our travel processes and enhancing the overall visitor experience. We believe this initiative will simplify entry into Dominica and showcase our commitment to providing exceptional service to our guests, ” stated Marva Williams, Director of Tourism.

Will there be a designated line for those who have already completed the document online, have the QR Code or printout prior to arrival at Douglas-Charles. Otherwise, the slow customs entry process will remain as is.
