
The Dominica Olympic Committee (DOC) is preparing to observe another annual Olympic Day, commemorating the 131st anniversary of the founding of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The Committee shared via press release that this year’s celebration will be held under the theme, “Move, learn, discover – Together for a better world,” alongside the slogan “Let’s Move.”
The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM, with participants of all ages expected to assemble at the Bath Estate Playing Field beginning at 2:00 PM. The festivities will kick off with the traditional Run/Walk (route attached), followed by a variety of activities aligned with the theme mentioned above.
The DOC encourages the public to support and participate in this year’s celebration. The release indicates that the event welcomes attendees of all age groups, and refreshments will be provided.
According to the organizers, it is also important to note that individuals using wheelchairs and cyclists are encouraged to join, as the route has been adjusted to accommodate everyone.
All participants should gather at the Bath Estate Playing Field starting at 2:00 PM.

Run/Walk Route
Beginning at the Bath Estate Playing Field, take first right in a northerly direction towards the Bath Estate Main Road;
down the Bath Estate Main Road taking a left after the bridge towards the UWI Open Campus;
through the Botanic Gardens gate to the intersection on Bath Road;
right turn along Bath Road and towards the Goodwill Link Road;
at the intersection on River Street turn right in an easterly direction alongside the Windsor Park Sports Stadium onto the Bath Estate bridge;
take the first right turn after the Bath Estate bridge towards the Bath Estate Playing Field.
