The Senior Men’s National Football Team had one of the better showings in recent times, but couldn’t convert on their chances as they played o a goalless draw with Sint Maarten as the Concacaf Series resumed in the Dominican Republic Monday night.

Coming off a 2-nil defeat to Guyana and a defeat against Sint Maarten in the first leg of the tournament in St Kitts in 2025, the national team started off strongly in the first half creating pressure and chances.

The team suffered a setback with first half injuries to midfielders Briel Thomas and Dhamario Challenger but the substitute players Eustace Marshall and Lyan Edwards kept the intensity going as Dominica clearly took the first half.

Dominica came out hard again in the second half, and forced the Sint Maarten goal keeper into a number of saves.

Audel Laville, Troy Jules and Marcus Bredas all saw their efforts parried away by the Sint Maarten custodian.

Despite all the pressure, dominance in possession and number of shots of target, Dominica couldn’t break the deadlock and the match ended in a 0-0 draw.

Dominica ends their campaign in the Concacaf Series with defeats to Sint Maarten and Saint Martin in 2025 in St Kitts, and a defeat to Guyana and a draw with Sint Maarten in the Dominican Republic in 2026.

this reads pretty fair and straightforward like they’re actually trying to balance free speech with keeping things

Congratulations to the team. At least, they have stopped the losing streak and this could be considered an improvement. Get the boys better facilities, professional coaching, more tangible incentives so they will be able to perform at their fullest potential.
