The Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF) has formally recognized Constables Ordel Robin and Lyndon Maximea for their participation in the demanding Commando Course 1/26, an elite training program designed to test mental toughness, endurance, discipline, and teamwork.
According to a statement issued by the CDPF, the officers underwent several weeks of rigorous physical and tactical training. The program included endurance runs, load carries, tactical shooting, room clearing, map reading, marine exercises, beach landing drills, and survival training, with a specialized phase conducted in Dominica.
Constable Lyndon Maximea received special commendation for successfully completing the grueling 30-mile loaded march, earning the coveted Commando Badge. The CDPF described this accomplishment as a “remarkable achievement and testament to resilience and determination.”
Constable Ordel Robin was also praised for his perseverance, completing 27.5 miles of the final march. The statement highlighted his courage, discipline, and fighting spirit, qualities expected of a commando candidate.
The CDPF emphasized that both officers embodied the values of teamwork, confidence, discipline, and professionalism throughout the course. Their participation, the Force noted, reflects its ongoing commitment to operational readiness and excellence.
“Congratulations to both officers for representing the Force with pride,” the statement concluded.
If Dominica had an Army eh……………I can imagine boy
Congratulations CDPF!!
Way to go officers, it’s very refreshing. You’ve proven that we can be ‘hard charging’ too.
Thanks a billion.
reminds me of my days back in UK SRR , and royal engineers . i miss them days there
work as a civil / electrical engineer is boring . need to get back and see if i still got what it takes
Well done officers! Its always good to know you all can keep the country safe. Just don’t use this training against the innocent and politically opposed citizens. Take a bow!
Now, lets see if the force will use you guys as trainers to pass on what you learnt to other members of the SSU. Knowledge is power!
i tried that once a few years ago . the higher ups thought they knew best . so all i do now is when im in dca spend my time training cadets . the officers there are more open to outside help and gratefull for the training i provide for the next generation,.
hope they actually use these young men to there full potential in the force
What the CDPF should prioritize are investigative techniques, evidence gathering, crime scene protection, forensics, de-escalation techniques, thorough knowledge of the laws of Dominica.
That type of training those two police officers had, is usually reserved for special forces of an army or navy. In the event of a war or invasion, these forces are very much prepared for any strenuous task that tests the limits of human endurance and tolerance.
All I’m saying is to give preference to areas of more relevant importance and concerns.
We need a more efficient and tactical police fotce.
