“We at the Ministry of Culture, we are presently preparing for CARIFESTA XV, which will be held in Barbados this [year],” she said. “We are looking at sending a team of about 75 participants to include 30 of our youth, 30 of our young people, because we want them to experience the Caribbean Festival of Arts, and Barbados wants us to come because they believe it will be the best festival of arts ever.”
She continued, “So we are planning to send our people there.”
Roberts added that the team will be performing in dance, in art, there will be an art exhibition, a fashion parade. and product displays.
She thanked the Dominica Export Import Agency (DEXIA) and the Ministry of Tourism, “because they too are helping us, and Education of course, because we are engaging the youth. So all these three ministries are working with us to ensure that we really represent during CariFest.”
