Dominica to host the Caribbean Association of Pharmacists 2025 conference

 

The Caribbean Association of Pharmacists (CAP) has announced that its 2025 Annual Conference will be held from August 18 to 24, 2025, at the State House Conference Room in Roseau, Dominica.

Themed “Pharmacy 2025 and Beyond: Achieving Optimal Outcomes and Healthcare Transformation through Accountability, Innovation, and Research,” the Association reported, via press release, that the event is expected to serve as a significant platform for healthcare practitioners, policymakers, academics, and industry leaders from across the Caribbean region and beyond.

Hon. Cassani Laville, Minister for Health, Wellness, and Social Services of the Commonwealth of Dominica, expressed enthusiasm about hosting the event. He stated, “Hosting CAP 2025 in Dominica showcases our commitment to advancing regional pharmacy practice and healthcare transformation. We are delighted to welcome our Caribbean colleagues to the Nature Island, where innovation will meet collaboration.”

Ms. Kalawattie Datt-Singh, President of the Caribbean Association of Pharmacists, commented on the conference theme: “Our theme reflects the need for accountability, research, and innovation in shaping the future of healthcare across the region. Dominica provides the perfect setting for these vital conversations, and we are excited to create opportunities for growth, learning, and partnership.”

Organizers report that key features of the conference will include:
– Opening keynote addresses delivered by prominent regional and international experts in pharmacy and healthcare systems.
– Interactive workshops and training sessions focusing on research methodologies, accountability frameworks, and new technologies in pharmacy practice.
– Presentations of research papers highlighting recent advances and discoveries by Caribbean professionals.
– An exhibition area showcasing pharmaceutical companies, service providers, and innovative healthcare solutions.
– Cultural events and networking opportunities that celebrate Dominica’s rich heritage and warm hospitality.

The press statement also shared that the event is projected to attract over fifty delegates to Dominica, providing notable economic advantages through increased tourism and hospitality activities, while also enhancing professional development and fostering greater healthcare collaboration within the Caribbean region.

    The pharmaceutical gods supplementing media and securing control.
    With the current illness and death rates, these good folks should already integrate NUTRITION and wholistic herbal medicine as guidance during their entire careers going forward. Be mindful that despite European models, we do have superior tested/proven medicines around us, at our feet.
