Dominica will observe two days of national prayer this weekend according to Minister for Culture, Youth, Sports and Community Development Gretta Roberts.
The minister appealed to the general public to participate in the two days of prayer.
“The Independence Season is fast approaching and as customary we always begin with prayer to the Almighty Father for the countless blessings that He has bestowed on our beautiful nation.”
She continued, “It is with this in mind that we are pleased to announce that this Saturday and Sunday, the 21 and 22, of September as the national days of prayer and thanksgiving.”
Roberts also solicited the kind cooperation of all church leaders.
Dominicans are encouraged to dress in national wear on their day of worship.

I have a suggestion. Why dont we all do two days of prayer for the country. Every man or woman simply praying to remove whatever they think are the biggest issues in the country to disappear. That is my tywo cents. Give the problem some good haily Mrys.

WOman everyday is a day of prayer for me since all you people start to do absolute rubbish with the country. People like all you only there for the good time. Doing the bare minimum.
Sense the hypocrisy. The oppressors gave the inhabitants Bibles, told them to close their eyes and pray. When they opened their eyes, their Land was stolen from them.
Too much ungodliness prevail and so 2 days of prayer spearheaded by those who have neglected and polluted and impoverished this unique 239 sq. ml of God’s beautiful Land and people, is simply laughable. Actions speak louder than words. Fantasy. Tomfoolery since the Godly changes to better livelihoods, to allow citizens to participate and exercise their Rights to choose are stifled. They could pray for two days or two months and that will change nothing because God is not in their hypocrisy and injustice as , the evil King Ahab and Jazebel found out.
What amazes me is how the hypocrite churches would remain silent when the evil politicians are behaving more evil than Satan himself but these same politicians can force them to change their schedules to accommodate them and their wickedness.
I bet you on Saturday and Sunday you will not hear preachers highlighting proverbs 14:34 which reads, Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people”.
