Cliff Darroux, a citizen of Dominica residing in Antigua, is currently facing charges related to the possession and cultivation of cannabis plants.
In Antigua and Barbuda, the law stipulates that an individual should not possess more than four marijuana plants at any given time.
However, Darroux was discovered to have a total of 41 plants in his possession at his residence. These plants had a combined weight of 40 pounds and were estimated to be worth $80,000.
During his recent court appearance, Darroux was granted bail but required to pay a $100,000 bond, as well as $10,000 in cash to the state.
Additionally, he was instructed to surrender his Dominican passport and report to the nearest police station three days a week.
As long as he adheres to these bail conditions, Darroux will remain free until the conclusion of his case. His next hearing is scheduled for May 29.
I expect ‘World Boss’ and Brown paper bag to cut a deal similar to the one they cut to bring Choksi to Dominica. Maybe the same boat that brought Choksi to Dominica will bring Darroux to Dominica and like in the case of Choksi, there will be no damn case
while SKERRITT police continues to harrass genuine weed growers. Top laborites and their children have been given licence to plant an unlimited amount of marijuana under police protection. those who are able to drive Porsches owned by little Dick are the only ones with licence to plant and sell weed. while the Rasta men who made their living from planting weed continue to suffer in prison while the bin and fertilizer bobolist have become the new licensed drug dealers on the block. To plant weed you must pay a licence of $1M. Only man driving Porsche can afford that. Rasta man wake up. SKERRITT played you for a fool.
Keep him in Antigua. When they spoil they spoil.
I guess he got confused with 4 and 40 hmm.
Marijuana just has to be legalized like tobacco, and regulated to protect kids. That’s it. The misery for a few plants that the elite will be getting a license for, is totally unnecessary for a few plants.
