Belfast Rum Punch has earned a Bronze Medal at the esteemed 2025 International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC), a highly regarded event within the international beverage sector.
A press release from parent company Belfast Estate, indicated that the official results were announced this week, representing a significant accomplishment for the brand and for Dominica as a whole.
Founded in 1969 and held annually in London, the IWSC is recognized for its stringent judging standards. The release shared that the Wine & Spirits judges, who awarded Belfast Rum Punch just one point below the silver medal, noted: “The aroma reveals hints of ripe fruit and subtle spices, leading to a smooth palate of citrus and tropical notes, finishing with a gentle sweetness.”
This bronze medal achievement elevates Dominica’s profile in the global rum and spirits market, stated Belfast Rum. The company said that this marks a notable milestone for a locally produced product competing alongside well-established international brands, and earning a medal at the IWSC signifies a recognition of superior craftsmanship and quality.
Yvor Nassief, Managing Director of Belfast Estate Ltd., expressed pride in the recognition: “We are incredibly proud to see Belfast Rum Punch recognized at this level. This win is a win for Dominica. It showcases our ability to compete with the best in the world.”
