Fort Young Hotel & Dive Resort, housed in a landmark structure on the “Nature Island” of Dominica, located in the capital city of Roseau, recently announced a significant achievement. The resort has received recognition through five awards in the 2026 Reader’s Choice Awards conducted by Scuba Diving Magazine.
A company media release listed the accolades as Best Overall, Quality of Resort, Quality of Staff, Quality of Rooms, and Value of Resort.
Ronson Dalyrample, the General Manager of Fort Young Hotel & Dive Resort, expressed gratitude for the honors, stating, “These awards are especially meaningful because they reflect the voices of divers from around the world. Fort Young extends its heartfelt thanks to the global dive community and looks forward to welcoming both new and returning guests for unforgettable underwater discoveries. Our passionate dive team, commitment to authentic Dominican hospitality, and unmatched location are what make every stay special.”
Dominica has been named one of the top ten dive destinations globally, celebrated for its striking underwater landscapes, including towering pinnacles, steep drop-offs, and deep-sea trenches. The island’s waters are also rich with marine life. Fort Young offers visitors access to sites such as Nose Reef and Pole to Pole, coupled with personalized service, said the release.

The release also revealed that the hotel is expanding its fleet with a new 36-foot vessel named Glorieux. According to the team, this 36-foot Caribbean Macorix boat can host groups or individuals up to 22 divers or 30 passengers.
Currently, Fort Young Hotel is promoting its Dive Getaway Special in partnership with DEMA, which includes a range of amenities and activities for travelers up to the end of January, 2026.
