Dr. Henderson leads delegation to Commonwealth Heads of Government gathering in Samoa

Dr. Vince Henderson

Minister for Foreign Affairs, International Business, Trade, and Energy, Hon. Dr. Vince Henderson,  is at the helm of a delegation attending the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) scheduled to take place in Apia, Samoa, from October 21 to 26, 2024.

This biennial event is the foremost political assembly of the Commonwealth, gathering representatives from 56 countries across Africa, the Caribbean and Americas, Europe, Asia, and the Pacific. The meeting provides a platform for Heads of Government and senior officials to engage in discussions that influence Commonwealth policies and priorities on collective objectives, including development, democracy, peace, trade, economic matters, and environmental challenges such as climate change.

The overarching theme for CHOGM 2024 is “One Resilient Common Future: Transforming our Common Wealth.” This theme emphasizes the necessity for member nations to leverage their strengths by enhancing resilience, unlocking potential, utilizing the ‘Commonwealth Advantage,’ and promoting a digitally connected Commonwealth to ensure inclusivity for all.

Additionally, during this gathering, the Heads of Government will elect and appoint the seventh Commonwealth Secretary-General. Following the established regional rotation, the next Secretary-General will be selected from the African region. The candidates in contention are Mamadou Tangara from The Gambia, Shirley Botchway of Ghana, and Joshua Setipa from Lesotho. The incoming Secretary-General will take over from the Dominican-born Rt Hon Baroness Patricia Scotland KC, who has been in office since 2016.

Dominica’s delegation will also include Acting High Commissioner Ms. Janet Charles and First Secretary Ms. Nakinda Daniel.

Seems like the members attending this meeting is too intelligent for the liking of the doctor time 4 to attend.
He realised he would be out of place, find it difficult to answer questions so has decided to send Vince who is for more intelligent than him to represent us.

Words like commonwealth, francophone only mean one thing: they have neo-colonialised you and taken from you, now packed you like wolves to holla how great English and French pirates are today.
To gain respect you must follow Burkina faso, Niger who got out of francophone France that kept taking their uranium worth 285€ euro per kilogram and only paid .85 cents like ‘the British’ took your bananas for 10c a lb but now gives you ‘aid’/loans for your incompetence, while you are expected to lead your people with a 😃 smile for photo ops. Even Trump tried a coup, which the U.S media renamed….insurrection, but on African soil is a coup. It’s your legacy Vince go for it, make us proud.

Why should descendants of enslaved people by the British continue to attend this meeting and pay deference to King Charles who obdurately refuses even offer an apology to slavery. He also adamantly even refuses to discuss reparations.

We have a set of dimwitted bootlickers at the apex of government throughout the Caribbean region. The Commonwealth is a remnant of slavery – anachronistic.

Your buffoon and illiterate. This is an article about Heads of government in Samoa. Can you read? No wonder you called yourself a clown.
It has nothing to do with Lennox Linton, one of Dominica’s brightest sons.
