I am wondering why the article does not tell us why that driver was arrested 3 years later. Was it a hit and run? Otherwise he should have been at the site of the accident–seems strange to me.

ADMIN: We are not aware of any specific reason being given. However, it is also a fact Matthew’s mother was recently on a local radio station pleading for justice to be done.

That is why the headline should read:” The police have finally arrested and charged Andy Esprit” instead of “formally arrested etc………”

Notice the “calibre” of some of our 👮 officers. Read paragraphs 5, 6 and 7. In which month did the accident occur? Why not combine 6 and 7 into one paragraph and let the information flow??

JUSTICE delayed is INJUSTICE. This lengthy delay of this case is a gross miscarriage of JUSTICE.

This is a damning indictment of the police force and the legal system. The Force is suffering from partisan politics, ineptitude, demotivation and lack of leadership. The top echelon of this pathetic institution consists of devout party political diehards.

These inordinate delays of cases such as this one to go before a magistrate or judge are prolonging the insufferable pain of the aggrieved party or relatives of the victims. We must make a greater effort to do better.
