If you were just kicked out of your Facebook or Instagram account while scrolling, you’re not alone.
The website DownDetector.com is reporting that, at this time, outages are spiking in parts of the United States and the Caribbean, including Dominica.
Many Facebook users are taking to X, formerly Twitter, and Whatsapp to report that they have been logged out without the option to log back in. The login issues apply to both the app and the website.
The hashtag #FacebookDown is now trending on many other social media platforms.
The cause of the outage is unknown at this time but Facebook’s parent company Meta said in a statement on social media that they were aware of the situation.
“We’re aware people are having trouble accessing our services. We are working on this now,” Meta spokesperson, Andy Stone, said in a post on X social media.
