Faith, Hope and Love Fellowship Foundation donates supplies to support vulnerable populations in Dominica

Attendees and goods at donation handover ceremony

In a notable initiative aimed at supporting vulnerable populations, the Faith, Hope and Love Fellowship Foundation has made a substantial donation of essential supplies to the Ministry of Health, Wellness and Social Services, via the Department of Social Services.

The contribution is valued at approximately eighty thousand Eastern Caribbean dollars (XCD$80,000.00) and encompasses a range of vital items including walkers, wheelchairs, kitchen and cleaning supplies, adult diapers, blood pressure monitors, glucometers, leg and back braces, among other necessities.

“It is an honour for us as Faith, Hope and Love….a church that my wife and I started in Nashville. We always had a desire to help Dominica. This is not the first occasion. We have done it for churches and schools and just people who are in need,” Pastor Jno Finn remarked, adding, “We are glad that we are able to help to provide these items…And I thank you all for working with the less abled people in Dominica…We want to thank you for giving us the opportunity.”

This donation is set to directly benefit individuals at several key facilities across Dominica, including the Dominica Infirmary, CHANCES, Community Hostel Inc., and various schools on the island. The handover ceremony, which took place at the Ministry of Health, was graced by Pastor John Jno Finn and his wife Judith, both of whom hail from Dominica. The couple represented the  Nashcille-based foundation and expressed their commitment to continuing these philanthropic efforts in the future. The Jno Finn family emigrated from Dominica to Nashville in 1982.

Honorable Dr. Cassandra Williams, the Minister of State in the Ministry of Health, Wellness and Social Services, with specific responsibilities for Seniors Security, Children at Risk, Gender Affairs, and the Differently Abled, praised the foundation’s generous donation. She emphasized that such acts of kindness should serve as an inspiration for others to follow suit.

“Your contribution is not just a gift—it is a beacon of hope. It sends a powerful message to those in need that they are seen, valued, and supported. We understand that this donation represents not only a financial commitment but also an emotional one. It reflects your belief in a kinder, more compassionate world,” stated Dr Williams.

She continued: “On behalf of our Ministry and all the vulnerable groups we are privileged to serve, I extend our deepest thanks to Faith, Hope and Love Fellowship Foundation for your act of generosity.”

The event witnessed the presence of various officials from the Ministry, including the Acting Permanent Secretary, Dr. Laura Esprit, as well as representatives from the Dominica Infirmary, highlighting a collective commitment to improving the lives of those in need within the community.

According to a statement, the organization,  through its Missions ministry, actively engages in projects that embody the Gospel, focusing on serving communities both locally and globally, and exemplifying the foundation’s commitment to aid and uplift others in need.

Our Heavenly Father is greatly glorified by this demonstration of exceedingly loving care and kindness by the John Finns and their fellowship to their native land and the health services. May the blessings of God overtake them increasingly rest upon them.

So just last week Skerrit was on the radio saying how Dominicans in the Diaspora and the USVI would come to Dominica to have surgery because they not qualified for the Obama care program. In fact he even went on to suggest that he should have medical tourism here. Less than a week later he and his religious hypocrites donating medical supplies from the same US. Gason you see these religious people that will not cry out against this wicked man and administration but will use Gods word to come and strengthen the work of darkness here. Why didn’t they give it to a church organization so they could help those in need? I guess Skerrit wouldn’t allow that so they were forced to give it to the government so Skerrit could use it as his political weapon especially against those that don’t support his wrong doings. Pas if that’s the case you should go on a radio station and let the nation know your intentions but Skerrit denied you. But all you are one with him

religion and politicians again. That’s why Dominica is in the mess that we in because people you thought that would stand for God have aligned themselves with an evil man worse than Ahab. When Dominica was in crisis after a serious storm a Dominican Doctor and other concerned citizens sent medicamentos and other things to help those that were in need bur the Evil man rejected it. But he accepting things today from those who are not condemning his evil? sorry, all of you are hypocrites and just like the noricing all you getting. Curse me out if all you want for speaking the truth. people that claim to be serving God will not arm or align themselves with this evil man without calling him out for his evil and darkness he has plunged us in

I hope this all of this generous donation goes to the most needy persons. God knows Dominica needs many more similar contributions. Too many people are in dire straits because of the selfish, greedy and ill-advised policies of the incumbent administration.

You can get an accurate pulse around carnival time as to the state of affairs in the country by listening to the campus compositions. Many are lamenting the tough and harrowing economic conditions in the country.

This precisely what happens when you have two low IQ persons (husband & wife) managing the affairs of a country. Things go awry.
