
Today marks the final day of public voting for the 2025 Dominican Music Awards, presented by Creole Heartbeat. Fans have until midnight to cast their votes at www.creoleheartbeat.com, with public voting accounting for 60 percent of the final score.
In statement, Leroy Wadix Charles of Creole Heartbeat stated that once voting closes, a panel of judges will review all submitted work, contributing the remaining 40 percent. Following this evaluation, the finalists for the Dominican Music Awards 2025 will be officially announced.
The awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the Intercontinental Dominica Cabaret Resort and Spa. The event will celebrate excellence, creativity, and the cultural impact of Dominican music both locally and internationally.
This year’s program will feature 24 competitive award categories with more than 200 nominees spanning genres such as bouillon, cadence, reggae, gospel, soca, and traditional music. In addition to the competitive categories, several lifetime achievement awards and two special honors will be presented.
