First female Argentinian Saint canonized by Pope Francis

Marking a historic moment in the Catholic Church Francis elevated María Antonia de Paz y Figueroa, the first female saint from his home country of Argentina, to sainthood on Sunday morning, in a Mass in St Peter’s Basilica.

Figueroa is affectionately known as “Mama Antula”, meaning little mother Quechua.

In 2016, Pope Francis approved her beatification after the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints recognized a miracle associated with Mama Antula. This miracle involved the inexplicable healing of a seriously ill nun in 1905, who belonged to the religious order overseeing the House of Spiritual Exercises founded by Mama Antula in Buenos Aires.

Her canonization journey received another boost in 2017 when a former Jesuit seminarian, on the verge of death from a stroke, experienced a remarkable recovery after a friend placed a picture of Mama Antula on the hospital monitor.

María Antonia de Paz y Figueroa was born in 1730 into a wealthy family in Santiago del Estero, a province in northern Argentina. At the age of 15, she defied societal norms by leaving behind her privileged life to join the Jesuits, when women typically had limited options beyond marriage or convent life.

Despite the absence of Jesuits in Latin America at the time, she actively promoted spiritual practices such as prayer and meditation, embarked on extensive journeys on foot, and engaged people from all walks of life in her initiatives.

Pope Francis, who also belongs to the Jesuit order, hailed Mama Antula as “a gift to the people of Argentina and the entire Church.”

He emphasized her steadfast devotion to Christ, noting her lifelong commitment to spreading his message, dubbing Mama Antula as a “wayfarer of the spirit.”

  1. What Saint

No surprise there at all. The truth is that, Catholics do not read the Holy Bible. They read the Sunday missal. Whatever that means. They have no idea what a saint is. Ask any Catholic to explain to you what a saint is….. 😂 it’s not a joke; but they really don’t know. They have not been born again through the regeneration of the blood of Jesus Christ which He shed at the cross for the Sins of the world. The laity of the Catholic Church are simply sheep being lead away from the GREEN PASTURES and straight down to hell. I take no pleasure in saying such a thing; but that’s the truth. Jesus Christ have made me a saint and a priest and much more. This eternal truth would seem as laughable by Catholics. But their light of this cannot change what God has made me in Christ. I’m blessed to have been brought out of this dark religion (Catholicism) and into the perfect light of God’s dear Son. Broad is the way that leads to destruction and many are on that road. Few on the Narrow road to life

This is just a joke, and that is what makes the devil happy. This Argentinian woman who was born almost 300 yrs ago.And in 2024, a sinner (Pope Francis) making another sinner who is represented by an idol, or if you may statue, a Saint?
No one can become a Saint after he or she dies, “Too late”
You want to become a Saint? The Savior with open arms is waiting for you now.
Here are some verses from the Bible, showing that you can be a Saint while on earth.
Psalm 116:15 “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His Saint.”
Psalm 16:3 As for the Saint who are on the earth …Also Psalm 50:5
The apostle Paul wrote about himself by saying.
“To me, who am less than the least of all Saints ”
Any sinner here on earth, who sincerely calls on the Savior for salvation, is saved and is a Saint, not made by man.
Will you came to Christ now?

“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” -Gal: chp 3 vs 28

This new world order ideology of elevating people based on gender/ethnicity etc is anti-christian. But then again this isn’t a surprise coming from the catholic church which distinguishes specific people as “saints” based on hearsay “miracles” when the Bible makes it clear that all who are saved by Jesus are saints.

But you don’t even have to take it that far, for no man on earth, papa; pope or whatever they call him have any power to classify anyone saint, that’s false belief which has nothing to do with the word of God.
You see saints according to the word of God are living people.
Once one becomes a believer and worships God, they are a saint; the Bible refers to the believers in “Antioch “ as “saints of God.”
No human humans have to perform any miracle to be a saint of God, no dead woman or man are saints.
The Bible teaches; the dead has no power!
All this is Roman Catholicism satanic belief and teachings.
There are scriptures in bible where it speaks of saints of God who were live and living people.
And saints are not people who walk around with their Palm of their hands clasped, we don’t have any reference in the Bible where Jesus or any of his disciples walked with clasped hands that’s catholism nonsense, it has nothing to do with worshiping God!

The Greeks, then Euro-Jews wrote that crap, can’t you tell?
The Greeks, Athens came into existence at least 2000 years after those sayings, like the sayings (psalms) of Solomon were written on temple walls by the African People the Greeks invaded, conquered and placed their name in the text like Romans did with a whole chapter called, of all things “Romans”. Think and research for your self, is not all cut and dry, you’ve been lied to about Christianity for 400 years. Jesuit priests still control the crap with the Vatican.
