Four in custody after drug bust at Stowe

Four men have been remanded into custody at the Dominica State Prison for trafficking cocaine and cannabis with a combined street value of over EC$4.9 million.

They are: Harrison Warrington from Kingshill, Abraham Wilkes from St Kitts residing at Portsmouth, Lenny Bellot from Bath Estate, and Kenson St Rose from Fond Baron, Loubiere.

The information was revealed by Assistant Commissioner of Police, Jeffrey James. He said the drug bust occurred on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Stowe.

The men appeared before a Roseau Magistrate’s Court on Monday, November 25, where the charges were read to them.

“They face charges for trafficking 145 kilograms of cocaine and 239.71 kilograms of cannabis with a combined street value estimated at four million nine hundred and seventy thousand, nine hundred and seventy-five dollars and sixty cents Eastern Caribbean currency,” James revealed.

James said this operation underscores ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in Dominica through collaboration among law enforcement agencies.

The matter was adjourned for trial on March 31, 2025.

Just another run of the mill moment in Dominica these days. Murder, gunplay, drug trafficking, squandermania of public funds on his family by the pompous misleader are dominating the news.

The ship of state is going under water. It can take no more of this burdensome baggage. Dominica needs a new pilot. One who is shrewd, competent, scrupulous and empathetic.

Band together my people and kick the ignoramus to the curb.
