In anticipation of the quarter-century milestone of the World Creole Music  Festival, Marketing Officer of H.H.V Whitchurch FRS L’Express Des Iles Desma Patrick said the company has increased its number of sailings between Dominica and neighbouring islands for the World Creole Music Festival (WCMF).

She was delivering remarks during the weekly WCMF press conference on Thursday.

“FRS has increased its [number] of sailings between Dominica and our neighbouring islands such as Guadeloupe, Martinique, and St Lucia,” she said.  “We are also thrilled to highlight our ferry service, FRS Express Des IIes…helping visitors, returning residents, and festival enthusiasts from across the region to travel conveniently to be a part of this grant celebration.”

According to her, H.H.V Whitchurch stands as a proud sponsor of this year’s festival, supporting through our services such as Whitchurch travel,  Whitchurch insurance, DHL, and FRS Express Des IIes.

“For 25 years, this festival has stood as a shining symbol of Dominica’s pride, culture, and resilience. It has connected us to the world with its rhythm, language, and heritage, and this year, H.H.V Whitchurch and Company Limited is especially proud to be sponsors. Through Whitchurch Insurance, we provide Event Liability Insurance,” she said. “We know that peace of mind and safety are vital for any successful event, and we encourage organizers across the island to take advantage of this service as they plan their own activities during the Creole season.”

Patrick also stated that Whitchurch Travel continues in its endeavour to make getting to Dominica easy, helping patrons with flight bookings, travel packages, and arrangements.

“DHL plays an important role in this busy season, ensuring that businesses and individuals can get their material, their equipment, and parcels quickly and reliably into the country,” she noted.

Meanwhile, FRS Express Des Iles has announced that Ferry services to Dominica will resume on the weekend.

Last week, the company announced the cancellation of services due to an unexpected technical issue.

Those interested in traveling to Guadeloupe are advised to board the ferry from Cabrits, Portsmouth on Saturday,  October 11, 2025.
