The Ministry of Education, Human Resource Planning, Vocational Training, and National Excellence is set to host the upcoming Certificate Awards Ceremony for individuals who have participated in the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Programs sponsored by CDEMA and SKYE.

The Ministry shared that this significant event is scheduled for Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 2:30 PM, and will take place at the St. Alphonsus Parish Hall. During this celebration, those who have successfully completed their NVQ training will be honored. The program is supported by the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) and Skills for Youth Employment in the Caribbean (SKYE).

The training has provided essential workforce skills to both youth and adults throughout Dominica, aligning with the nation’s resilience and development ambitions, stated the release.

The Honourable Minister for Education, Human Resource Planning, Vocational Training, and National Excellence, Octavia Alfred, will be delivering the keynote address and personally presenting certificates to the graduates.

According to the Ministry, the ceremony exemplifies the commitment of the Government of Dominica and its regional collaborators to fostering a skilled, certified, and resilient workforce for a brighter future.
