Health centre and roads for Roseau South, international airport for Dominica says new Roseau South MP

Lockhart being sworn-in as a Parliamentary Secretary

Construction of a health centre and road repairs are included in a number of projects that parliamentary representative for the Roseau South Constituency, Chekira Lockhart plans to accomplish in her constituency.

“Roseau South will not be left behind. There are a number of projects that must be accomplished…we have all the roads to fix in that constituency; we have the Health Centre to build in Roseau South,” she said during an interview with State-Owned Radio DBS Radio after the first meeting of cabinet ministers on Thursday.

“The issue is one of land and very soon we will identify an area which we will build the Health Center on,” she said.

Lockhart said the rehabilitation of playing fields is also on the cards for Roseau South, “and not forgetting the housing projects.”

The Roseau South parl-rep is looking forward to her role in the new cabinet as Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, International Transport, and Maritime Initiatives, with special responsibility for Air and Sea Port Operations

“There are many challenges ahead, but I am placed in tourism and I have a special responsibility for air and seaport, and the international airport is one of the things that is on the agenda and I will ensure that during the five years, the International airport will be built,” Lockhart stated.

She said the government already has a commitment from the Chinese Government to build the international airport.

Commenting on what she described as an interesting first cabinet meeting, Lockhart stated, “the government has a lot of items on its agenda and the good thing about it is that there is financing for most of these items.”

Most of what Dominicans are fed by this shell of a government is just sweet lies, full throated party propaganda, relentless false assertions and ridiculous nonsense. Anyone who aligns himself/herself with a leader of Aljazeera infamy should never win the trust of the public. Quote me, the international airport, geothermal energy, a state of the art healthcare system, a proper and adequate network of roads and bridges, a full restoration of agricultural and manufacturing produce and production will not materialize under this ruling kakistocracy. Why? Creativity, astuteness, honesty, patriotism, fairness is forever illusive when it comes to this farce of a government. This incumbent autocracy is an existential threat to the lives of Dominicans.

This last minute nonsense talk will not go down with us. For 19years failed incompetent Skerrit has been hoping everywhere and return as this failed irrelevant fanfare and talking of promises and projects to be undertaken. We need well planned decent development and just a structure to watch to say it is nice. What happens inside in key and that is where we are with failed incompetent Skerrit. Just nice talk as if we are stupid like the bunch of failed waste of time ministers who still are unable to get it right for our Dominica. These clowns killed our Agriculture as we don’t see banana boats. So now Skerrit flies all over to sell our passports. Shame on you…

On Saturday PM Skerrit says this: “Minister of Tourism, International Transport, and Maritime Initiatives – Hon. Denise Charles”

Today Chekira Lockhart says this:“I am placed in tourism and I have a special responsibility for air and seaport ”

Boy now I am really confused and I need someone to unconfuse me. Folks which is greater the PS or the Minister? Is Chekira working under Dennis Charles or Dennis working under Chekira?

How could Skerrit say Denise Charles is
“Minister of Tourism, International Transport, and Maritime Initiatives and yet today Chekira telling us that “I am placed in tourism and I have a special responsibility for air and seaport “? But pM if is Chekira that is responsible for air and seaport, then what is Denise role as minister of tourism? But why is she talking international airport foolishness and not the Minister?

With all the money that you people have wasted over the years and are still wasting when we need health centres and roads for all of Dominica, not just Roseau south. The whole country needs new health centres and roads over twenty years now!

    December 23, 2019

I just wonder why the roads were not repaired or the health centre built by the govt. when Joshua was the MP. Shakira. Is the same government that is responsible, the same government that has to pay, the same condtituents to benefit with the same needs. Yes please do it and I wish you luck, is the same Minister of Finance you have to persuade. Maybe he fancy you more than Joshua.
