Hike Fest 2025 a success, reports DHTA

The Dominica Hotel and Tourism Association (DHTA) reported that Hike Fest 2025, an event celebrated for its focus on nature, adventure, and community engagement, was a success.  This year’s edition drew hundreds of hiking enthusiasts from both within Dominica and abroad, all eager to explore the island’s renowned trails and natural beauty, according to a press release from the organization.

Participants in Hike Fest 2025 experienced a variety of routes, ranging from lush rainforest paths to scenic coastal cliff trails. The event showcased Dominica’s exceptional natural landscapes and reinforced the island’s reputation as the “Caribbean’s premier hiking destination”. The DHTA expressed gratitude to the over 270 individuals who participated, noting that their involvement contributed significantly to the memorable nature of each hike.

The association also extended special appreciation to its sponsors, whose support made the event possible. The list of sponsors includes Discover Dominica Authority, Jolly’s Pharmacy, H.H.V Whitchurch and Co. Ltd, Republic Bank (EC) Ltd, National Bank of Dominica, Auto Trade Ltd, Josephine Gabriel and Co. Ltd., J. Astaphans and Company Ltd., Springfield Trading Ltd, Extreme Dominica, Sustainable Earth, Depex Colour Lab, Do It Center, Fine Foods Inc., Nature Island Beauty, Occasions Gift Shop, Digicel Dominica Ltd, Dragon Windows, and Flow Dominica.

Additionally, the event benefited from the support of local hiking clubs, including the Dwivayez Hiking Group and Next Level Hikers. The collaboration with Franklyn Bruno, police security, and the Youth Emergency Action Committee, who provided first aid assistance throughout the hikes, was also recognized as contributing to the event’s safety and success. These partnerships continue to enhance the reach and impact of Hike Fest annually, stated DHTA.

Looking ahead, initial planning for Hike Fest 2026 is already underway, with the event scheduled to take place in May. The DHTA has invited the public to contribute suggestions for trail ideas or creative twists to enhance the upcoming event. Feedback from the community is encouraged to help make Hike Fest 2026 even more meaningful and inclusive.

Sponsorship opportunities for the 2026 event are currently open, and companies or organizations interested in partnering are invited to contact the DHTA.

The group urges the public: “Align your brand with one of Dominica’s most recognized nature-based experiences and show your support for eco-tourism, wellness, and community engagement.”
