The Forestry, Wildlife and Parks Division of the Ministry of Environment, Rural Modernisation, Kalinago Upliftment, and Constituency Empowerment, wishes to inform the general public that the Hunting Season is officially CLOSED as of November 30, 2022.
The general public is reminded that it is an offence under the Forestry & Wildlife Act for persons to engage in any form of hunting or fishing during the closed season and as such are liable to a fine of two thousand five hundred dollars (XCD 2,500) per offence.
Also, the sale and possible limited export of wildlife or parts thereof is prohibited as of December 31, 2022. Exportation will not be granted to persons until the next Hunting Season is officially reopened. Therefore, persons found selling and exporting wildlife including parts thereof shall be prosecuted by law and face a fine of five thousand dollars (XCD 5,000) per offence.
Please assist the Forestry, Wildlife & Parks Division in the management and sustainable use of our natural resources.

Did they actually say hunting and “fishing” in any form? I mean the Forestry Division needs to be a little more detailed. That means there should be no fishing until next year; therefore, there will be no fish until then? Hmmmmm
What happened to all the Crapaud Frogs that once lived on Dominica. There used to be hundreds all over the island. Were they hunted to extinction?
Tell that to the Chinese they don’t regard us neither our laws.They hunt and fish in all season. Police only looking for Black people. Chinese are all Diplomats here in Dominica. Police bow to the Chinese because they are preserving their jobs. That’s what I call, Self hate.
