The ballot was the answer and the people have spoken and case closed.

Much PROPS to my fellow Dominicans who have allowed personal passions to subside in order to let their votes to do the talking.

Today is when and where the rubber meets road. Anything else is just pure foolishness and folly if the eligible voter does not make a best effort to show up at the ballot box to vote.

Hope for the best and let the chips fall where the majority of the electorate decide!!!!!!

The voting is done, now there is the count, to be followed by tears of jubilation, or the streets will once again become a fiery furnace amidst more civil unrest?
We wait and see… Dominica you decide!!!

The Opposition leader said yesterday on a radio as he addressed, that Skerrit called for RSS forces to Dominica to intimidate voters. That is not what i am seeing at the polls today. Once again Lennox’s words were misleading to his supporters and the workd. We shall see at the of the day what the voters think.

    1. How many dead people have voted so far?

    2. Why are the number of voters on the election lists equivalent to the total population of the country, nearly half of whom are under the voting age?

    3. How many voters have been bribed with how much money to vote for the DLP?

    4. How much diplomatic passport money has been paid to how many overseas DLP supporters to return home for a couple of days to vote?

    5. How has a poor man like Skerrit become a billionaire since becoming PM when his government salary is so low?

    6. What will the people do when Skerrit retains power once again based on 1-5?

I thought that politicking was against the law today. This website should have shut down the comments section until voting is over and let the course of elections happen without any further political input.
Please shut it down and let the democratic process prevail.

This is so beautiful to see. Dominica Wins from this…!! No matter who governs.

  11. December 6, 2019

What was all the rioting for, these fools tarnish the country reputation and will make more difficult for any party to govern come Monday.

Am I noticing a huge voter turnout. Historically, that’s never good news for an incumbent.

Show that gangster Skerrit the red card. Dominica can’t afford a PM like that any longer. He can’t account for CBI money, he can’t account for PetroCaribe money, he can’t answer the allegations in reference to the diplomatic passport, he can’t tell us what happened to Ross, he refuses to show us the MOU with China… Tell me which country in the world wants a PM like that??

    • December 6, 2019

Tell me which country in the world wants a PM like–But RandyX, all the countries in the World at this moment, knows that he has huge majority supporters or followers, of his country, up to this present time.

Now tell me which country in the World would not desire that privilege.

Vote your conscience, heart and mind. Let no one sway you!!!

I pray that the politicians and the public accept the election results and that calmness and peace reigns.

May The Most High continue to bless and keep the people and country of Dominica until HE returns to establish HIS true government on this wretched earth.

Wow….this is a beautiful sight!! Isn’t democracy just a great thing. Natural constituencies, a complete voters’ roll and a vibrant, but respectful parliament, is the foundation for a free and happy people. That we must protect.
As long as we have that, it does not matter who wins here….Dominica wins!!

    • December 6, 2019

I still think that it matters who wins because we have to rely on the mentality of the Prime Leader of the winning party, in many, many ways.

Dominicans are a God-fearing, and peaceful people on the whole, but we need that same character in the person and persons who rule over our Nation. Otherwise, the sense of discontent and disunity will continue to prevail.

They say that “one bad apple don’t spoil the whole bunch” but as long as that apple remains in the bunch, it cannot be a perfect bunch. Especially in today’s world, “bad” is quite contagious

Then let us ask our Holy God, to show us His mercy and compassion and to patiently heal the minds of those who make us the defiled bunch. In the name of Jesus

    To my fellow Dominicans:

Vote early and often. And If you can’t get to a polling station just call for a Lyft.

Better days are coming. By late tonight, DLP must start packing

      Hope for true!

The beautiful thing is that the observers were here to see the parties in action first hand, not hearsay, not one-sided complaints. Let’s see who scored the points in this debacle.

Whoever wins, the people will have spoken. In our system of democracy, the majority will always have the last word. If after all the havoc and desperate tactics the people still prefer to take a chance with Mr. Skerrit than with his opponent you people will have to learn another language because most Dominicans speak only English. You will also have to go back to the drawing board and examine your leader.

If your leader wins, good for him, he will now have to walk the talk and trust me, he better walk well after creating all that havoc and almost moving heaven and earth and trying every nasty trick in the book to get there!

Yes Dominicans. Let your votes do the talking. Not the riots that were uncalled for.

    Vote vote vote

The “riot” was called for. Skerrit and Charles Savarin called it.

      • ...
        December 6, 2019

No, they were not. I understand the plight, but things did not have to go this far. The peaceful protesting was enough – destruction and violence should never be the answer. Two, three wrongs won’t make a right. Our country’s name has been put to shame one too many times these past few weeks alone, all because of desperation – some of us don’t even realise the damage that could, has been or will cause for us as a country or as citizens. We need to think before we act. There comes a time when we have to allow God to do what he has to. Time will reveal, our votes should do the fighting.

The fact that the people of Dominica has stood up, declaring loud and clear that enough is enough, is something we should be proud of, there are islands where they are afraid, to cowardly to do the right thing

        • December 6, 2019

“Peaceful protest was enough”, except that there is nothing peaceful in the mind of the “protester” he or she will never find satisfaction that way. That “peaceful protest” idea is out of this world.

“Protest” represents the state of mind in someone who is angry, dissatisfied, or discontented, that person’s reaction to his/her emotion cannot be peaceful.

Can anyone smile gleefully with a toothache? It is the same way that people cannot demonstrate their dissatisfaction peacefully, there no such thing as peaceful protest. That was the reason for the outlaw and violence that was displayed for the past few days.

I bet you, that some of those people are still proud of their reaction–especially when they have people, in the high ranks, who condone to their behavior.

The riots were to show the anger and passion that these people felt after years of hardship
