What was the groundsman thinking not even 4 days of cricket,a spinners paradise against India, really 🙄. He needs to take a break for selling Dominica short. I don’t know anything about preparing a test pitch but I would have YouTube and Google and produced a better pitch lol .no seriously he don’t need to hear all this because he will know he failed to produce. Give the best person the job not the nennen son lol.

The West Indies senior men cricket team played to the best of their ability. Even though they have embarrassed the region, that is the best they can do at the present moment. They can’t even bat for two full sessions.

I feel for the small, local businesses that invested so much money hoping for five full days of captivating cricket to make a reasonable return on their investment.

The current underwhelming performance of the WI Cricket Team mirrors what is happening in the countries of the region. We have fallen from the glorious summit into a dark abyss in everything.

Seems like we need divine intervention to recapture our preeminent days.

Our glory days in cricket were when we had the ‘Shell Shield’ competition of the 70’s and early 80’s. It was even more competitive than the Sheffield Shield in Australia. The Windwards and Leewards played as one unit called the “Combined Islands”:
    L C Sebastian
    V Emray
    Jim Alleyne
    I V A Richards
    I T Shillingford
    Victor Eddy
    T M Findley
    Nobert Phillip
    Derrick Parry
    A M E Roberts
    Grayson Shillingford
    12th man Hugh Gore
    13th man Elquimedo Willet
This team would whip the present West Indies.

Some of the “esteemed” cricket commentators already looking to blame us for the preparation of our pitch at Windsor Park..
Doesn’t matter to them that dem boys on our team just cannot handle spin bowling..
But at least they all agree that our hometown hero really deserves his pick..
Let’s see what dem selectors going to say when they pick their team for the next test match..
And..it really is a downright shame how these “boys” just keep embarrassing we West Indians ****

The problem with west indies cricket is they are a custom to losing, change is what’s needed. Radical change new fresh ,hungry determined players. This west Indian team have been loosing for the last 15yrs .please change the players and look at the coaching because they are both not working. Athanze has waited 2yrs for this opportunity ,we need to recognise talent and class and give them a chance.

It’s more than 15 years, weve been losing. Approaching 30 years now….since around 1995….

Change is definitely needed but what it is this sort of change. It cannot be just changes of individual players and coaches, the problems are much deeper than that.

It needs an entire overhaul of the cricketing structure in the region. The individual countries of the Caribbean MUST have an enabling structure to attract young, potential cricketers and hold them.

Proper coaching and tournaments should be happening among the primary and secondary schools. Club cricket should be at a high leve and well organised. The governments need to invest much more in the game ensuring that there are proper playing fields, stadiums and overall improved cricket infrastructure. You get out what you put in.
