The offices of the Inland Revenue Division were evacuated on Monday morning due to an alleged strange smell.
According to information received, the odour was noticed when staff arrived at work.
Investigations revealed the source was the air conditioning system.
A source stated that some members of staff began coughing, and they were eventually told to exit the building.
The Environmental Health Department was notified and is presently on the scene.
Meanwhile, members of staff huddled outside the building as they awaited further information.
Customers were told that the offices are closed until further notice.
DNO will provide more information as it becomes available.
DID SOMEONE FART ??
Nothing strange! This administration is comprised of contaminants. They have polluted the parliament, electoral commission, Office of the PM, in fact, the entire civil service. The building that houses the Inland Revenue is just one of many unfortunate casualties.
At one point in time – bridges, roads, police stations, court house, public library, post office, hospitals, health centres, feeder roads, schools, almost every public edifice was in a dilapidated condition. The DLP reminds of a pig. They love mud.
You spend your entire life writing garbage on DNO. Why don’t you find time doing something useful in your life? You are an election day loser. You talk about the DLP reminds of a pig. They love mud. What does the UWP bums like yourself remind you of? The UWP reminds me of a rat. They love filth and eat trash and drink dirty water.
“The Environmental Health Department was notified and is presently on the scene.”
My humble opinion is to next time call the fire department. Story does not say if they were on the scene. Unless the Environmental health department has an emergency response team with proper training I suggest the protocol be reviewed. you take a smell, there is coughing, you do not know what it is. That situation requires multi purpose air monitoring equipment and some form of breathing protection. This would help determine if there is any toxic gasses and protect the responders. what if whatever is released had explosive capabilities? what if it has longer term effects? you don’t get these often so it would be good practice. hope someone paying attention and make sure to correct response next time. Never assume cause it can get people killed.
I love this “DO NOTHING” approach!! Pefectly executed!
My granny always use to say there are many ways to skin a cat. What a brilliant “DO NOTHING” move. . Can someone please get some AIR FRESHNER into the AC system at the ministry and financial center buildings please? They need this back there .
It’s do nothing day. So do nothing.
Stay outside.Take responsibility of your health, because PMH won’t be able to help you all.
Stay outside.
