Day four and the search for 12-year-old Kernisha Etienne, who was abducted from her home in the late hours of June 7, 2022, continues. Since then, several citizens from across Dominica have rallied together to help bring this young girl home. Among them is Warner resident, Reggae singer, Nasio Fountaine, who spoke to Dominica News Online.

Since this unfortunate situation has happened it’s been a month since the disappearance of little Kernisha I pray this case gets solved
Nasio you spoke about Unity
What have you done to bring Dominica together ? Have gone back into isolation?
When calling for change, it has to start with someone and it might as well be you, people look up to you open your eyes and see what’s going on in Dominica
Nasio It took a situation like this to happen for you to come out when people have been calling on you for years…. Hmmm
Nasio the same energy you put into searching and crying for this little girl I want you to do the same and search for the young lady who has been looking for you for years she looks just like you!!! Is she your daughter time for truth
You Are known to be a man of truth
I’m all for the search of Kernisha. What the enemy ment for evil God will turn it around for good she will be found in the name of Jesus
It took a situation like this to happen for you to come out when people have been calling on you for years…. Hmmm
Nasio the same energy you put into searching and crying for others keep the same energy when it hits close to home
Making sense, but when you’re speaking of unity you should start by your own. Why aren’t you united with your daughter in Sint Martin?
I hope they find the little girl, because this is madness
Nasio is absolutely right, we are too small a nation to be plagued by such divisiveness. I hope that Kernisha doesn’t endure this ordeal for naught. Love your neighbors, look out of each other.
I pray that this little girl may be found we pray for unity in Dominica Happy to see Nasio participating in finding this little girl. Kernisha will be found in the name of Jesus
The loving friendly Dominica that we all grew up in has now turned into, “If you not Red you dead”! And we continue to tolerate the destruction of Dominica by the powers that be! As the Prime Minister said, “I run tings in Dominica!” Dominicans take a close look at what your political hatred have created! What has this Government done for mental health, delinquecy, and paros in town? Glamorise gansters and bad boys? Glamorise dug dealers? Give money to delinquency so that you can win an election? And then what? What kind of society are we building? Paradise lost!
Well said! That’s TRUTH that cannot be disputed!
Uneasy lies that man who occupied the top position in government. How does he sleep at nights?
His speeches, actions, interviews, sharing of the country’s resources are all divisive. Every action of this government is based on the colour RED. How can a nation prosper and its people fulfill their fullest potential ? UNITY is a formula for success, DIVISION is a strategy for defeat.
DNO, you must pick and select people whom you want and need to interview. You wasted time interview two men who didn’t have anything substantial to say! So why spend so much time with such people who are just rumbling around? Just say thanks after a limited amount of time and move on to someone else! This guy is blaming even “religion” for what has happened. Just say thanks Sir. for your time and move on! The whole world is watching and hearing nonsense! Come on Mann…. I know you all can do better. As for the guy in Belles, so much time spent with him and he was boring. Asked for his name, and he gave three different names. Right there you see where this interview was heading. We need not just to hear from one person in a community; but two and three.
Dominicans are hurting across the board. From missing people to missing Millions. One person from de St. Paul’s Parish has been missing and nothing much, (in terms of search, police investigation and media publicity) had been made to help and support the family of this missing person. Dominica is just a very different and sad place. Vehicle are going up and down with extra dark screened windows, and it’s impossible to see or recognize the occupants of these vehicles. What’s the purpose of that? Then when the police asks the community for help to solve crimes in the area the community people have no idea who was in the vehicle from which the bullets came flying. Thus, it’s not difficult to see who encourages crimes in Dominica. Also, when there are such crimes on the island, the people are traumatized and focuses on these reoccurring events and forget, or pay little attention to what the government is doing. Crimes become a shield to these govt. ministers to do what they do.
Nice hearing my brother with such conviction about the unity which is needed in Dominuca. He is sio right. Religion and politics are our enemies. They are killing us and we keep calling on a white Jesus to save us. A white Jesus that was given to us when our spirituality was ripped from us. It is past time that we call on our ancestors for help. We’ve been calling on jesus for so long and things keep getting worse. Awake out of your slumber, my people and open your eyes to the truth.
UAPOLOGETIC.
So who told you that Jesus was white? You need to wake up. You didn’t give any solutions.
Nasio speaking on unity actions speaks louder than words are you uniting with the people? Let us all practice what we preach and Let it start with you the people have been calling on you for so many years. Let’s pray to God that this little girl may be found
It’s a European construct. Know your history and stop having a Greco-Roman mentality. They stole your history and gave you another package and you have acceptef it hook line and sinker.
Enough is enough. Wake up let’s find this little girl and support her family. Make sure this clown is put away so that he doesn’t hurt anyone else. Eniyg
I am very disappointed in DNO.
There is too much noise in the background so the audio of the interviewee is not clear.
Why would you then broadcast this?
A real journalist will know that he or she has to move and find an area with less background noise.
Are these journalists trained? And why would the editor , administration give the go ahead to release this ?
I had to put my phone on full volume and still hold it to my ear to try to decifer what nasio was saying, then I couldn’t follow all through.
DNO. I’m disappointed!
If we fail our children……our future will not be too bright.
Systemic failure……. misplaced priorities!!!!
Kernisha….. princess….. you have put our billions in CBI money under scrutiny….. the authorities have failed our youth big time.
Honors to all genuine search parties
I still praying for you
Legalize the Weed and we will have more of these crimes and kidnapping. This weed is frying the brains of these people. Police should once again go around places like Campbell, Warner, and the Valleys between Campbell and Warner to eradicate and root out these marijuana plantations. This is what causing 80% all the crimes in Dominica. Some large areas are taken over by the weed growers since our farmers gave up planting banana and other crops. Marijuana is our crime problem in Dominica.
