
Dominican swimmer Jasmine Schofield, has concluded her participation in the 2025 PanAm Junior Games. This morning, Jasmine competed in Heat 1 of the 50-meter freestyle, finishing eighth with a time of 29.43 seconds.
Her race marks the closing chapter of her extensive competitive season.
“This race is the end of Jasmine’s long competition season, and although Jasmine expressed disappointment in her performance, her effort was commendable”, said the Dominica Olympic Committee via press statement.
The Committee also shared that as the current holder of national records in both the 50-meter and 100-meter freestyle events, Jasmine aims to surpass her personal bests and further improve those records. As she prepares for the upcoming swimming season, she plans to resume intensive training focused on refining her technique and increasing her strength in the water.
The Dominica Olympic Committee also extended its gratitude to Jasmine for her efforts and proud representation during the 2025 season.
Additionally, yesterday, Jasmine secured a fifth-place finish in Heat 2 of the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 1:04.05.
These events took place at the aquatic complex of The Paraguayan Olympic Committee—Olympic Park—in Asuncion, the host city.
