JCI Dominica Board 2025

JCI Dominica is set to commemorate a week-long celebration from December 8 to 14, 2024, in honor of 65 years dedicated to empowering youth and cultivating effective leaders to navigate an evolving world. This significant anniversary will include a variety of activities focused on honoring our legacy, enhancing member capabilities, and envisioning future possibilities. Additionally, the event will feature an official visit from National President Meritta Hyacinth.

President Meritta Hyacinth is recognized as the first Dominican to occupy the role of JCI West Indies National President and is on the verge of making further history as a new Commissioner on the American Development Council of the International Board, where she will oversee retention and growth initiatives within the Americas. The organization holds her journey as an example of the embodiment of the principles of leadership, service, and innovation actively supported by JCI on a global scale.

The event schedule includes:

Tuesday, December 10:
A Training Session will be conducted by JCI West Indies National President, Meritta Hyacinth. This session will focus on essential project management and execution strategies, providing attendees with advanced tools for effective leadership and successful project outcomes.

Thursday, December 12:
On the designated Anniversary Day, we invite both former and current members to join an Open Discussion at the UWI Open Campus at 6:00 PM. This gathering will celebrate the extensive history of JCI Dominica, offering a forum for shared reflection and strategic future planning as we aim to foster innovative initiatives.

Friday, December 13:
We will observe JCI Memories Day, encouraging individuals from Dominica, the wider region, and beyond to share their cherished experiences with JCI Dominica. Participants are invited to post their memories on social media and tag our organizational accounts, connecting our global community in recognition of our collective heritage.

Saturday, December 14:
The week will conclude with an Installation and Awards Ceremony, highlighting the accomplishments of our members and partners, acknowledging their dedication and contributions, and formally installing the 2025 President and Board of Directors. This event will celebrate the successes of the past year while also looking forward to new opportunities ahead.

“JCI Dominica’s 65th anniversary is a testament to the dedication and passion of its members and the support of its partners and community. We invite everyone to join us during this historic week of celebrations and be part of a legacy of leadership and service,” said a statement from the organization.
