JCI Dominica excels at the 64th National Convention in Guyana

JCI Dominica has announced several significant accomplishments from the recently held 64th JCI West Indies National Convention, which took place in Guyana from October 8 to 11, 2024. This annual event serves as a vital forum for leadership enhancement, networking opportunities, and the acknowledgment of outstanding contributions within the region. Senator Meritta Hyacinth, the National President, led the General Assembly during the convention, ensuring that the proceedings were conducted effectively. Her leadership throughout 2024 has made a notable impact on the organization in both Dominica and the wider region.

Notable Achievements for JCI Dominica:

Mickael Desbonnes, the Immediate Past President of JCI Dominica, has been elected as the National Vice President of JCI West Indies for the year 2025. He will be part of a distinguished leadership team that includes:

– Regina Bunburry (Guyana) as National Executive Vice President-Elect

JCI Dominica congratulates Mickael Desbonnes on this achievement and wishes him success in his new position. Additionally, JCI Dominica acknowledges Senator Meritta Hyacinth’s forthcoming role as the West Indies National Immediate Past President, effective January 1, 2025. She will also take on a new international position, with further details to be shared following the World Congress in Taoyuan, Taiwan, scheduled for October 29 to November 2, 2024.

During Convention 64, JCI Dominica achieved finalist status in multiple categories and secured the award for Best Local Growth and Development Program for our initiative focused on Recruitment, Orientation, and Selection. This initiative is particularly significant as it embodies our commitment and objectives within JCI.
