Kelvin Trevor Albert (Lang Sal), 43 of Scotts Head, who was wanted by police in connection with the murder of 69-year-old Andrew George Pinard of New Town who resided at Bellevue Rawle is presently in police custody.
According to previous reports, the incident allegedly occurred on Sunday, March 2, 2025, in the vicinity of Ruins Cafe at the intersection of Hanover Street and King George V Street in Roseau.
Dominica News Online (DNO) will follow that story and provide more information in a later publication.
All I will say is Dominicans are on edge the last five years in particular and it doesn’t take much for even good people to do something crazy, as if there is a spell placed on the people. Lord help us please and deliver us from the evil one
For a man with a big mouth, he surely looked like a coward when he ran and hide instead of simply walking into the nearest police station. What a crying shame!!
Are evil spirits hard at work in Dominica? Are people on edge, perpetually angry, because of the austere conditions of life in the country?
One can be pardoned if kills in self-defense or for the sake of necessity but NEVER for the sake of superfluity.
Never do things when you are angry. When anger rises, before you take action, think about the consequences.
How many fatal shootings have occurred in the vicinity of this place? Do we have a police force in Dominica?
Based on their (the police), statistics aren’t some areas supposed to have constant police patrol, day and night to at least lessen the loss of lives?
Are the officers too dumb to analyse statisistical data? What sort of leadership does this CDPF have?
But they patrol Roseau when a group of elderly citizens are walking in broad daylight on a Wednesday. What a shame!
What a failed institution.
Shouldn’t the millions spent to innocently jail honourable James, Fontaine and Linton have gone into training those incompetent police.
