The 2024 Road March results have been released and reigning Calypso Monarch Dennison ‘Dice’ Joseph has captured that title with his popular hit ‘Bring Money’, receiving 51 plays.
The results were released by the Dominica Calypso Association (DCA) today.
Second place went to Trilla-G with ‘Nasty Business’ receiving 38 plays and 3rd place was secured by ‘Mighty D’ with his popular song ‘PM for King’ receiving 22 plays.
Five years after his last win, veteran Calypsonian Dice achieved a historic milestone by securing his 10th Calypso crown during the grand Calypso Finals on Saturday, February 10, 2024.
King Dice, Dominica’s most decorated Calypsonian clinched this victory while competing from spot number 10 delivering a mesmerizing performance that solidified his reign as Dominica’s Calypso king.
Dice, didn’t deserved to win his sound was crap that is what I called calypso corruption, I have never heard this guy sing anything apart from political rubbish,
Having said that what would one expected from a so-called Workers supporter but crap.
I am here reading your opinion and realize you have no clue the definition and history of calypso, neither you seem to be used to the understanding of the words “social commentary” Go back to the 60s, 70s and 80s and listen to calypso. Listen to people like Caressa and you will stop talking politics. Learn to separate issues.

I wish we could stop politic with everything that is happening in the country. Please be wise. We can always support our politicians without turning on each other. Remember politicians come and go. Don’t be so blindsided by what you want to believe that it becomes truth for you.
Any fair-minded judge of calypso knows that Dennison Joseph is head and shoulders above the rest. No matter how the forces of evil try they just can’t keep a good man
down. Dice is an unstoppable force of good.
All you satanic worshippers who still insist that Dice is not deserving of all the accolades he has received, have to be living underground like crabs in a hole. Go Dice!
I know we are living in different times today but with all his deserving accolades, how would you compare him to our Lord Breaker, Gregoire Bannis, and our road march king, the late Mighty Spider, Roland James, in terms of lyrics and melody. Just your thought.
Different writers, different styles different times. Each creator has a way of doing things and none should be compared, but each one is his own. It’s as simple as that. Acceptance and support is all that matters.
