The Minister of National Security should change his sir name from Blackmore to Blackeye. He has give the police service black- eye, also the beating Reginald Astrie spoke about comes readily to mind.

This press conference brought out the worst in the CDPF and this failed DLP administration; the entire Cabal and the higher echelon of the Police Force should have handed in their resignations like yesterday. I would like to put a few questions to the Min of National Security; Chief of Police and DPP; (1) was there a team of investigators assembled to investigate the GON Emanuel arson/attempted murder, (2) was any forensic expertise in arsenic investigation sought to assist, (3) Mr Chief of Police what role if any did you play in that investigation. The fire booming and present theft of firearms at the St Joseph police station is an indictment on the entire cabal; and the well known DLP mantra of “square pegs in round holes has always been there for us to see; you are right Mr Minister there is no excuse, but for God’s sake stop making the police force your scapegoat for your administrations failed non existence policies and lack of positive leadership. God help us all.

The firearm amnesty was dead on arrival. Armed feuding groups and individuals were the subjects targeted. The proper approach should be to seek reconciliation between rivals and then request for the turning in of weapons. The usual senseless approach to management prevailed.

Tell the public who represented UWP in the dual citizenship case against Skerrit and St.Jean.The slackness and break down in discipline in the police force when UWP dismissed Commissioner Blanchard and his deputy Valarie. They were replaced by Commissioner Darroux and deputy Pierre Louis, two supporters of UWP.One of the officers who abandoned the armoury at St.Joseph is an open critic of the DLP government. The incident at St.Joseph is not a robbery,it is a burglary with the knowledge of the police. The police should be charged disciplinary for abandoning their post and neglect of duty, they should be dismissed. They should be charged criminally with conspiracy, convicted and sent to jail. Those are the aholes the UWP should be Commissioner trained and have given to the Dominican people. It is a shame to see what the police force have come to after the work put in by police in the 70’s and 80’s.

Interesting that the Police Cheif said that there were only two reports about Jonathan Lehrer and Bois Cotlette, with one of them about a watch being Stolen. I personally have given 4 reports to the Soufriere police station. One about the theft of my phone, one about an assault …………., one about being stopped on the public road by them and one about their dogs attacking my vehicle on the public road that runs through Bois Cotlette.

All reports were written down by an officer, in a note pad, but in different note pads, with No record of the report being given to me. There did not appear to be a computer at the Soufriere Police building.

I also know for a fact, that as part of the court case involving the public road, there were several other people that recalled giving statements to the Soufriere Police about issues on the Public Road as they went through Bois Cotlette.

Yet, their thorough investigation has determined that there was only 2 complaints….

Why don’t all you ask how many ‘police officers’ are on duty to guard Skerrit, his Missus and offspring. My guess it’s at least 30 on a shift basis. Of course that creates a shortage anywhere else. The point I’m making, if Mister is overly scared (rightfully so, if I might add) and 2 officers are not enough then he should pay out of his own pocket. It’s our CBI money anyway. Bottom line, a Dominican PM that requires so many bodyguards can’t be a good PM. The guy has more enemies than friends and one wonders why.

I have said it before, and will say it again,Rayburn Blackmore is NOT the right Minister of national security.Casanni Laville or Fidel Grant would do a much better job in that ministry.

This is without a scintilla of doubt the WORST police service in the Caribbean region. They bungle every serious breach of the law.

Here is a very truncated list of the blatant incompetence and bumbling of this law-enforcement agency: The Choksi kidnapping, the mercenaries who planted a briefcase at Mr. Lennox’s front door, the disappearance of little Kenisha, the firebombing of Gon Emmanuel’s home, and the list could extend into perpetuity.

The Dominica Police Service is as strong as the the persons who manage it whom are all political lackeys of the DLP. The organisation operates at the behest of Roosevelt rather than serving and protecting the citizens, residents and visitors.

Blackmore says there is a man power shortage, commissioner says there are enough folks in st. Joe. I know we have more police than 1998 so how did we have 15 at grandbay then and less now when we have same amount of stations and more police. The problem is systematic failure. Carbon why are you mad to discipline folks when your acting commissioner was involved in the smuggling of a gentleman named choksi and he is yet to be disciplined along with others. Dont you think the rank and file knows about the violations. Sexual harassment and insubordination rampant. The DPP says they have a constitutional mandate to try all crimes.Did we change the constitution to have Khan from Trinidad prosecute opposition members for false treason accusation? is the minister confirming you are not imptial? Are you now telling me the constitutional rights of these guys are being violated. when will we see an independent enquiry into the operations of the police by caricom.
