That’s good but UWP needs to engage with Dominicans in Dominica .They only seem to want to make Q95 their platform and they using it poorly. They need to take their message out man because not too many people listen to Q95 on island.
For the past weeks UWP has been on the roadside selling car raffling tickets. Why not have a loud speaker playing some interesting interviews or broadcast aired on Q, so people could know what’s happening since UWP has lost the community presence that they once had? Don’t they understand that a large percentage of Laborites are fed up with the nonsense of Skerrit but they need to hear what’s really taking place on island? Don’t they understand that a lot of Laborites don’t listen to Q95 for one reason or another but they need to find a way to spread the message?
I spoke with a very open minded Laborite in the week and she was shocked to hear for the first time that tax payers pay over $70k for PM to stay in his own house

UWP can pound pavement, knock doors, walk streets, as much as they want, we nah going back to the dark ages when they were in power. Skerrit and Labour are good for DA. We looking forward and marching to the next level, especially when we have our new international airport and geothermal energy up and running. So, my friend IBO, keep dreaming of another failed UWP in government again. It nah going to happen. You can either come on board or continue missing the train. It’s entirely up to you but DA will keep moving on.

UWP finish, you have a press conference, no president, Lennox Linton, No Danny, No Deputy leader, no Edisson, No Hector, not even blue-blue or Blessings that come and give their support. Poor Thompson he there trying to convince the 6 people that were there that Dominica doing bad and UWP is a better choice, but they cannot even unit to keep a press conference.

    What a waste of time.

Dr Fontaine you MUST improve on your delivery. You are painfully boring. I cannot listen to you for more than five minutes before my mind starts wandering. Your monotone does not retain the attention of your audience. This is not meant to be hyper-critical.

You have no charisma which is important in politics. Your presentation is like eating cooked food without any sort of seasoning.

Dr. Fontaine, your frequent absence, your monotony, your party’s lack of caretakers in the different constituencies, do not enthuse nor attract fence sitters to the party you presently lead. You need to WAKE UP!.

It is always laudatory when a political organisation seizes the opportunity to dialogues with the general public. A ground up approach in politics, unlike what obtains in Dominica today, is always more beneficial to the people than a top down relationship.

However, nothing can be more effective than pounding the pavement, knocking on every door, shaking hands, watching electors in the eyes, lending a listening ear.

The political leader of the UWP has to refrain from.making Q95 his campaign headquarters, meet the people in their homes, on the street corners, outside the sho
s, to the side of the basketball courts l
    and playing fields.

There is no substitute for hard work. Success is no accident. It is hard work,
    perseverance and tough, personal sacrifices.

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 9 Thumb down 9

And why is the UWP engaging with the Diaspora? The UWP does not want the diaspora to get involved in Dominicans politics, so why are they talking to them?
