Recognized as emerging leaders in civil society and for their work in the field of volunteerism, Dominican Loftus Durand, St. Lucian Ekiema Yarde, and St. Kitts and Nevis national P’Della’P Stanley, are currently in the United States participating in the U.S. Department of State-sponsored International Visitor Leader Program (IVLP), themed “Volunteerism and Civic Action.”

The program, which runs from January 13 to 31, 2020, will address several areas including the impact of volunteerism in U.S. communities and how volunteers are inspired to foster a culture of service, civic involvement, and responsibility. The program begins in Washington, DC, where the group will get an overview of the ecosystem for volunteerism in the United States as well as explore the federal government’s role in promoting volunteerism and civic action.

The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is the Department of State’s premier professional exchange program. The program brings together emerging leaders to engage with U.S. subject matter experts and to share best practices with their global contemporaries.

Durand is the president of the Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM) which was at the forefront of the campaign for electoral reform in Dominica prior to the December 6, 2019, general elections which saw the Dominica Labour Party returned to power with an 18-3 majority in Parliament.

This is what happens when people are desperate for attention. They do not read and they ruin the lives of people who do not share the same views as theirs. Loftus Durand you have an issue. You are an ….. The UWP was and has been operating like a terroristic group within the United States. You are well aware of what has been going on. YOU ALL DO NOT READ. Self interest this is how you all operate. I hope you see for yourself what they want to show you.

You are against the Dominican people, you all are DESTABILIZING THE CARIBBEAN REGION.

  4. January 14, 2020

Loftus, next time you are in the USA, stop at Macy’s or Hects or Garfinkles or Joseph Bank Clothiers and buy yourself some professional white and coloured shirts to wear and get a real job to do. You are fake news. Nobody is listening to you, just like Alex Bruno.

 ds= duminica simpleton; even while Mr.Durand is invited by the most Powerful Country and those who Controls the World, where your one-man corrupt rogue regime prime mistake chose to have his children born, you’re still blindly bowing with both head and eyes closed! :?:

He does have on professional wear. White button down and dress pants. Maybe they need to be tailored to fit more. but loftus is not of the skinny jeans generation. But his attire definitely doesnt stop him from speaking on behalf of the concerned citizens of Dominica. clearly you are not concerned or knowledgeable enough to know the difference. Because if you knew better, you would demand better from our “king” and his cabinet.

I am calling on national security officials on the island of Dominica, to keep their eyes wide open on Loftus Durand when he comes back. Do not make him rest easy. We do not want what happened in several Latin American countries to happen in Dominica. Weak minds who crave attention are often used by foreign powers(imperialist) to infiltrate governments which they consider as operating contrary to their philosophy.
    Bring on naive empty heads.

So in short the US have 18 days to prepare Loftus Durand. I assume, as part of their training, they going to take him to the US$2.2 Million dollar choice property, near the United Nations, in upscale Manhattan, New York, that the Al Jazeera network told us that Mrs. Diezani Alison Madueke, purchased for a Royal family in exchange for a Diplomatic passport? For the record let me state clearly that I don’t believe the apartment in question was purchased for or on behalf of Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit. It just so happened that Mrs. Melissa Skerrit, the wife of PM Skerrit, according to property records that I have seen, was once a resident of that apartment. In fact I have also seen photos of the entire Skerrit family inside the apartment but it is NOT theirs. I am quite sure when Loftus Durand returns to Dominica he will be in a position to state clearly who owns what. So let’s wait

    January 13, 2020

So you mean to tell me the US has already identified a person they can work with when they bring Skerrit up to the US for a different type of training? That’ s why I love the US you know because they always put things in place and prepare people before they do anything. Boy I didn’t like Loftus Durand that much but let me start to respect the man and by calling him Hon. Loftus Durand, It’s ok to call things that will be before they are.

Is this the programme where the CIA prep selected individuals of certain countries where their governments Don’t tow the US line, to organise coups in order to get their own puppets in place? No surprise Loftus was selected. We’ll just have to keep an eye on this guy upon his return. Make sure he’s a well behaved citizen. We saw examples of his misbehaviour during the election campaign organising disorder on our streets for the UWP.

      January 13, 2020

@Eagle -Eye, I find you damn rude to refer to the man as”Loftus” instead of Honorable Loftus Durand. Are you so blind to not see that the US is preparing him to replace Skerrit so he could give us election reform while Skerrit is brought up to the US for training in a funny looking 2-piece suit?

      • Eagle-Eyed
        January 14, 2020

@Ask Mel, i think you are confused as to whom Trump is Preparing Loftus to replace. If you use the Juan Guardo anology you will find that it is Linton that Trump want to replace Loftus with because Linton is incapable of winning an election. For all Trump’s bravado, i don’t think he would be stupid enough to back a coup in DA or any other Caribbean island after the debacle of Venezuela with Juan Guardo. Whereas, if he can get somebody like Loftus (a former Operation Youth Quake graduate) maybe he might be a little more likable than Linton and potentially more electable.

    • Time up
      January 13, 2020

Loftus Durand even looking like Prime Minister adopt already. Next thing we will hear is the USS recognize Loftus Durand as prime minister? Skerrit must be very scared about this news because clearly it says the time is getting very near for Skerrit

I don’t know what is on the mind of the U.S State Department regarding St. Lucian Ekiema Yarde, and St. Kitts and Nevis national P’Della’P Stanley, but I must say they have a clear plan for Loftus Durand. Here are my 2 cents:

1 .I believe The US State Department wants those in Roseau to know that if they touch Loftus Durand they touch the USA

    2. I believe The US State Department have recognized and identified Loftus Durand, for plans similar to the role that Juan Guido of Venezuela was recognized and identified for.

    3. I expect the US Department to open books of information they have on Dominica to Loftus Durand. So file of Alireza Monfared and his associates both locally and internationally, as well as their information from NG Lap Seng, Diezani Madueke as it pertains to her Diplomatic passport, who gave it to her, what she gave in return and, the US$2.2 Apartment in NYC. Well DONE LOFTY!!!

I hope the US State department use this opportunity to take you to NY City and show you an apartment building that is allegedly linked to payments from a former Nigerian Oil Minister, that we saw photos of the Skerrit family enjoying, thanks to the All Jazeera report
