The police have formally charged a man in connection with the fatal shooting of Goodwill resident Kimon Emmanuel and the attempted murder of Shian Sabroache, marking an important development in an ongoing investigation.
According to police reports, the Major Crime Unit of the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF) has been actively investigating the April 27 incident, which occurred in Roseau, resulting in Emmanuel’s death and injuries sustained by Shian Sabroache. As part of their probe, law enforcement officials arrested six individuals in relation to the case.
Among them, Jerren Sebastien, a male adult from Belfast, Mahaut, has been charged with murder, attempted murder, and conspiracy to commit murder. Sebastien was taken before the court earlier today, where the charges were formally read to him. He has since been remanded in custody at the state prison as legal proceedings continue.
Despite this recent development, police officials confirm that additional suspects remain at large. The CDPF is calling upon members of the general public to assist in the investigation by providing any relevant information that may aid in locating and apprehending the remaining individuals.

I hope this guy is not the son of Lochart Sebastien.
This year has been particularly murderous. The easy access to guns, ammunition and drugs seems to be fuelling these killings and attempted killings.
I’m happy that someone has been charged. Hope law enforcement has the right culprit. What the country needs is an efficient and effective functioning police force to be proactive in ridding the streets of most of these illicit and sophisticated instruments of death.
