Man from Guyana found hanging in Antigua

Delroy Victor

Police in Antigua are investigating the death of 28-year-old Delroy Victor, a Guyanese national who was found hanging in his home on Jonas Road on Wednesday afternoon.

Victor had relocated from Guyana to Antigua approximately three years ago and had been working as a farmer since his arrival.

According to local media reports, he had previously been hospitalized after attempting to drink poison. He was released with instructions to return for follow-up medical care at 12 PM on Wednesday but he never made it.

His friends said he was very vibrant and well-loved.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident.
