After relocating to London at the age of 18, Teni has embraced her passion for fashion and now utilizes her social media presence to uplift women, especially those who are plus-sized. Her impressive career trajectory has led her to collaborate with several prominent brands, including Adidas, Fabletics, Boohoo, Shein, Next, The Curve Catwalk, Cider, Bravissimo, Mapiful, Monsoon, Snag Tights, and Refinery29 UK. Recently, Teni was approached by one of the UK’s leading plus-size brands to participate in two national advertising campaigns centered around swimwear and denim.
“This is a big deal for me”, she said to DNO, adding “I am a very ambitious person who tries my hardest to make my dreams come true, and with hard work, they are slowly becoming my reality.”

50 years ago, when I began the paintings and sculptures in my series “Daughters of the Caribbean Sun”, I had no difficulty finding lithe models. They worked in the fields and bathed in the rivers. I now search in vain.
Plus sized only means our women eat too much processed store-bought and other packaged foods. They have given up to the processed foods boss.
There is great need for vegetables, herbs all at the markets, vegetables easy to steam, cook, salad, add garlic n onions or whatever. Don’t just give in to the processed-food boss who are only interested in your women buying their packages to get bloated. Even out little girls are aspiring to be big n fat.
Among other things, soon our mini bus drivers who fit 10 passengers will only be able to fit 8 women, operating at a loss. This is costly, and women have to step up, free up the health services, CNDCs etc.

I hate this “plus-size” “body positivity” fatties keep talking about these days. No matter how they try to paint it, there’s nothing nice or cool about being a fatty. It doesn’t look pleasing to the eye, and let’s not forget all the health problems it causes. Promoting being a fatty is just promoting death.
Promote being slim, exercise & healthy eating, not being fat.
