Message on Russian invasion of Ukraine from President of Antilles Episcopal Conference, Archbishop-elect Gabriel Malzaire

Archbishop Gabriel Malzaire

The hearts of the Caribbean people are broken and wounded as we learn of the invasion of the vulnerable sovereign state of the Ukrainian People’s Republic by the Russian Federation, the subsequent loss of innocent lives, and the sever suffering of its people. In addition, the invasion has created a refugee crisis and caused the painful break-up of families, a nation, and communities. Throughout the Caribbean region, public commentators, religious leaders, governments, and civil society have been expressing solidarity with the Ukrainians, condemning the violent and unlawful actions of the Russians, and calling for an end to such brutality.

We are also concerned about the dire and uncertain fate of Caribbean students living in the Ukraine, the economic impact of rising oil prices on our Caribbean nations, and the failure of regular diplomatic efforts to resolve international issues. Like the Coronavirus pandemic, this crisis has international implications as it causes rising inflation and increasing oil prices. This now places greater financial and psychological burdens on our people.

As president of the Antilles Episcopal Conference (AEC), I support the call of Pope Francis who declared Wednesday, March 2, 2022, Ash Wednesday, as a Day of Fasting for Peace. Pope Francis reminds us that “Jesus taught us that the diabolical senselessness of violence is answered with God’s weapons, prayer and fasting.”

On this synodal journey, I invite the People of God, the laity, the clergy and religious in all the dioceses of the AEC to gather virtually and/or physically in parishes, homes, religious communities, chapels on Ash Wednesday to pray for global and regional peace, and specifically for peace in Ukraine.

May the Son of Justice and Peace rise in our hearts and actions, and provide the light of hope. May Mary, the Queen of Peace, intercede on our behalf.

the bigger picture is Ukraine is a fellow Christian democratic nation that shares many of the same values as Dominica. a msg of support is the least he can do he did not ask for donations or call for arms :) chill ppl. if he continues to comment on foreign affairs more than local affairs then thats a problem. but 1 msg of solidarity is acceptable to the Lord regardless of the unverified propaganda surrounding the war in Ukraine. I encourage all dominicans to be quick to mercy and slow to anger during the Lenten season.

You said Ukraine is a fellow Christian democratic nation, such empty rhetoric. If you are non-white I assure you that you are not equal to them. Don’t ask me why, ask them. Today’s Christianity is a reformulated, repackaged version that has served white supremacy and racism very well. They will tell you that you are equal knowing they have written ‘you’ into their hijacked rewritten Bible old and new testament.

The significant thing is that these black men take up, vehemently defend and spread this religion of their captors and enslavers where all the players, all events, everything related to that God took place in your country, your continent that they invaded and conquered; and pushed to you by the very same captors who teach you that they had to take everything you have and enslave you because you are no good sons of Ham. When later they learned Ham and sons were black, they changed story to Cannan, just manipulating you, and you just there, “yes yes yes, I’m not worthy”; suddenly you start to say black people are stupid and need to be saved by your European who enslaved you. No wonder.
Time is up. You don’t find Hindus nor Jews or Muslims in your glorious foolish situation do you, all of you who are in this?

This clown of a bishop finds it fit to run his mouth/ fingers on a situation that has nothing to do with his flock in Dominca yet when Catholic in Salisbury were undergoing hell on earth at the hands of the goon squad of Skerritt’s police and also the subregional wicked forces the bishop was missing in action. He clearly cares more about white Caucasians in Ukraine than about black people in Dominca. I just can’t respect this wolf in sheep’s clothing. He’s looking for nice words to be said about him by commenting on international matters but when those who the pope gave him as his flock to shepherd he could care less about. By their fruits and lack of works we have seen he’s not worthy.

Today Wednesday, one hundred and forty one members of the UN , including many from CARICOM, signed a resolution condemning Russia for invading Ukraine. Guess what? Dominica was a no show, adamantly refused to sign.

Skerrit is NOT a Prime Minister, he is a Gang Leader, Mobster, Hoodlum. If you had any doubt of Skerrit’s political extremism just reflect on this decision. He tacitly joins with China, Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea, Nicaragua and the other rogue nations and dictators of the world in giving succor to his idol, Vladimir Putin.

ADMIN: Dominica did vote against Russia.

You are utterly insignificant, Sir. You were not willing to support the innocent people of Salisbury but now you feel obliged to make a big speech. Not wonder the Catholic Church is in so much trouble.

I am quoting Mr. Gabriel Malzaire. “May Mary, the queen of peace intercede on our behalf”
We are told of the Israelites turning their backs on The True God,and instead worshipping the goddess Ishtar, or Astarte the Queen of heaven. Jeremiah 44 16-24
Now, if Malzaire is saying that the Mary, God used to give birth to Jesus the Savior is the queen of heaven and even made her an intercessor, let me respectfully say you are deceived and are deceiving your followers. Mary only claimed to be a servant of the Lord. Luke 1:38. At Cana, where Jesus turned the water into wine, Mary told them “Whatever Jesus say to you do it” John 2:5. Jesus said, He is the only way to God. Not Mary. John 14:6. Again “Whatever you ask the Father in my name, I will do it. John:14:13
Paul said, the Lord is the only Mediator between God and men, the Man (not a woman) Jesus the Christ 1 Timothy 2:5.
I can give many more scriptures to prove it is vain to pray to Mary. Please choose Christ.

JJ man , you talking out of your backside. Wasn’t Mary the Mother of Jesus. only a woman can give birth and for that she is inferior then. I don’t care what quotations from the bible you come with but as far as I’m concerned Jesus did not hate women like you do. He admired and respected them. You must be a very miserable man.

What? “the Man (not a woman)” it seems your Bible is full of male chauvinism, I thought it was only so much religious bigotry. Just see how they put you and your people in their stories of ham, Noah, Deuto. etc and you as cursed while they place themselves as THE so-called ‘chozen people’. What are you thinking?

The bishop supports the call of the pope but what about the cry and plight of your fellow church members and other Dominicans? Slobby was buried in the Catholic church, do you not seek justice for him as a member of your flock? We are ruled by a class of individuals who don’t care for us and they’ve repeatedly demonstrated this. Question is do we care for ourselves? Time for revolution against this class of leaders.

Russia should be roundly condemned by all peace loving countries of the world. They should pay a heavy and devastating economic cost for their unprovoked, military misadventure.

My question is this though. How is it that Archbishop Gabriel Mal-zaire is so vocal and adamant against the invasion of Ukraine by Russia when he was completely mum when the entire community of Salisbury was attacked by foreign soldiers, with teargas, while they slept?

Bishop Mal-zaire, your hypocrisy is obvious. Your statement is totally inconsequence. Speak out vociferously and consistently against the many atrocities committed against Dominicans by the rogue, criminal enterprise..

It would be more meaningful if the bishop urge the PM to stop selling Dominica passports to oligarchs from Russia before the EU and U.K. do it for him.

We didn’t hear a pip from you about Africa and Haiti where they fine-tune invasions and train locals instead of physically invading like Putin just did. You should be equally disgusted, not because it’s in “civilized” Europe. Six countries in Africa and one right at your doorstep in the Caribbean, in very recent times. Do you like a covert invasions more than an overt ones?

Man shut up, hearts of Caribbean people are broken what!

Before this how many times you heard the name Ukraine mentioned in any household in the Caribbean, and am sure the name Dominica, or the Caribbean for that matter is known in the Ukraine!

There was a nuclear power plant explosion and meltdown in Chernobyl Ukraine, if you ask the majority of Caribbean people what year that occurred, they may ask you what are you talking about?

And for the scepts who think I do not know what I am talking about:

Note: “The Chernobyl disaster was a nuclear accident that occurred on 26 April 1986 at the No. 4 reactor in the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, near the city of Pripyat in the north of the Ukrainian SSR in the Soviet Union. It is considered the worst nuclear disaster in history both in cost and casualties.”
That’s within an era when Russia annexed Ukraine.

You Malzairi and Skerrit need to mind your business, preach the word of God, which is your duty, stay out of politics.

You running your mouth talking crap as if to say Putin hears the voice of small people like you and your puppet master Roosevelt Skerrit.

Talking crap will not erase the damage the Roman Catholics caused in this world, from the enslavement of our people to the thousands of wars they caused.

More than 90% of all wars fought in the history of the world, the Roman Catholic religion instigated it, or was involved in it, how many lives do believe was forfeited due to your false religion?
man shut up, and don’t make any sign of the cross on my head, supposing God will punish me.

I saw plenty of that in Wesley when I was a child!

You must be an atheist. You have no respect for the ambassadors of Christ. America has changed you a lot. You need to repent and ask God for forgiveness and, you also need to go to church and pray. Nothing seems to fulfill your soul unless Lennox Linton is the PM of Dominica. Wishful thinking. The Catholic church does not instigate wars; it is only Brian Linton who incites his people to instigate wars and bring on treason on his country. How can you tell the Bishop to shut up? You have no respect whatsoever. The wrath of God will come pelting down on you one day. You seem to be suffering from bipolar like IBO France.

ds, the you can talk bull as much as you wish about “wrath” that does not fade me; if I did not read and study the Bible, I would be shaking in my boot over such nonsensical words you wrote; I know the meaning of such words deal with this:

“The wrath of God is an attribute of God as much a part of God as any other attribute, an attribute without which God would be less than God: Now the wrath of God is as much a Divine perfection as is His faithfulness, power, or mercy.”
If there is going to be a punishment, it will be executed on people like you and Malzaire who are worshipers of idols such as what you see besides Malzaire.

That bull is something that has been used against poor Black people by the Roman Catholics for centuries keeping people in subjection to those homosexuals who calls themselves priests pope and bishops!
I give respect to where it is due!

“What goes around, comes around.” Call me what you may…But W..hite people are paying double for what they did, and continue to do to us. And I may also add; that those Black “Uncle Toms” who want to walk in these people shoes to cause their own people to suffer will be meted the same measure of pain, punishment and sorrow. I have no sympathy. None whatsoever. God isn’t asleep. His people were in bondage for 400+ years but He delivered them. “What goes around, comes around.” Now you all will what black folks went through, and more.
