Miss Dominica hopeful, Laveda Liverpool, who is representing the Giraudel community, has secured sponsorship from the Roseau South Constituency.
She was sashed by Parliamentary Representative of the Roseau South Constituency, Chekira Lochkart-Hypolite, during a press conference held this week, making it official: Liverpool is now Miss Roseau South Constituency.
“Laveda embodied everything of a queen,” Lockhart-Hypolite said while delivering remarks at the ceremony. “She is beautiful, she is poised, she is intelligent, she is dedicated and that is something that I really love about her.”

According to Lockhart-Hypolite, not having been able to secure a sponsor before has not deterred Liverpool from partaking in the Queen Pageant.
“Because somebody else would probably say they are dropping out because they do not have that type of support,” Lockhart-Hypolite stated.
She continued, “After having looked at the budget for the queen contestants, I think it is in the sum of $25,000, and I would expect that they would spend much more.”
She noted that it is a very expensive exercise to get involved in, “and I know Laveda has spent a considerable amount of money out of pocket and so I have decided that I cannot leave my constituent who is representing one of the most beautiful parts of my constituency, the Giraudel and Eggleston area…”
Meanwhile, Miss Liverpool thanked the Roseau South Constituency, especially Lockhart-Hypolite for stepping up to sponsor her as she prepares to compete for the Miss Dominica title.
She encouraged the public to come support her and four other contestants as they vie for the title of Miss Dominica 2025 on Thursday, February 27, at the Windsor Park Stadium Forecourt from 8:00 PM.
Officially making the Queen show a DLP affair. Was this a personal sponsorship by the Pal Rep?
