The MV Resilient Lady (Virgin Voyages) made its inaugural call to Dominica yesterday.
It was docked at the Woodbridge Bay Port at Fond Cole.
A special ceremony took place aboard the ship which included the exchange of a plaque.
Representatives from Discover Dominica Authority (DDA), the shipping agency, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Dominica Air and Seaport Authority (DASPA) Ian Pinard, among others formed part of that ceremony.
According to an article onĀ cruisedeck.com, the Virgin Voyages Cruise Line Resilient Lady cruise ship, built in 2022, weighs 110K tons and has 1410 staterooms for up to 3102 passengers served by 1160 crew. There are 17 passenger decks, including 9 with cabins.

How many of the tourists come assure.
Ya boy, big ole ships. Tourism is so fragile to base an economy, oh just ask St.Croix, still haven’t recovered from one incident in the 70s, all diverted to other stolen lands Key West, Australia, Europe even . You need experienced folks with knowledge and conniving to fit into this tourism model or back to agriculture-based mix economy.
According to environmental sources, it scores a D for air pollution and it spent all day at Woodbridge Bay with smoke pouring from its funnel. How can this be compatible with Nature Island ?
I think you got a typo there… was the ship built in 1923?
The article has been updated to reflect the correct date. Thank you.
