Dominica will observe its ‘National Days of Prayer’ on the 19- 21 of September this year.
The announcement was made by Culture Minister Gretta Roberts.
“This year I want to remind all church leaders that on the 19th, 20th and 21st of September will be the National Days of Prayer,” she said. “So whichever church you go to, we are asking people to dress in their national wear in the observance of National Days of Prayers for Independence.”
Roberts continued, “This year we also have our parade as we did last year, which most people enjoyed. What I am asking this year is for people to come to the parade, dress in something creole; let us not let it look like a Carnival activity. Let us remember it is independence.”
Meanwhile, she revealed that the official opening of this year’s Independence celebrations is scheduled for Friday, September 26. The ceremony will take place at the State House Conference Centre.
“And on the afternoon of the 27th [September], we have the parade on the streets of Roseau where we showcase everything independence,” Roberts stated.
Praying once a year won’t help Dominica. Opening the year with Carnival dancing to devilish music, then praying at independence time is not the way to go. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Repent Dominica and turn to God before it’s too late.
Boy you really are a JACK just like the rest of UWP” you want to tell people how to dress” later you saying”people stay home”.You are telling what to do,when somebody else tells them what to do,you say they are hypocrites.Boy I DOE know where all you UWP ites get that level of stupidity.
even want to tell or ask people how to dress to go to church. they even want tell people when to pray.
hypocrisy. this is not genuine people should stay home and say their own prayers. they should not cater to this type of pretentious prayers.
