NCCU board president says organization delivers despite difficulty (full report inside)

Mc Dowill Paul

President of the Board of Directors of the National Cooperative Credit Union, Mc Dowill Paul, asserts that amidst a difficult and highly competitive financial environment, the institution has delivered impressive results, recording a comprehensive income of $4.1 million for the financial year ending December 31, 2024.

Paul’s statements are based on a report that he presented at the financial institution’s 15th Annual General Meeting at the Goodwill Parish Hall on Wednesday.

This report highlights the company’s achievements, operational milestones, community involvement, and strategic direction as the NCCU continues to strengthen its position as a nationally and regionally recognized financial entity.

“Despite a challenging and competitive financial landscape, your credit union achieved commendable performance, recording a comprehensive income of $4.1 million,” Paul said. “This success reflects the Board’s unwavering commitment to growth while ensuring that the evolving financial needs of our valued members are met with professionalism, strategic foresight, and innovation.”

Leveraging the latest advancements in financial technology, he said the NCCU continues to enhance its service offerings to meet and exceed the expectations of its membership.

“As we move forward with our strategic initiatives, we reaffirm our dedication to financial stability, member-centric service, and cooperative values,” he stated. “Together, we build a stronger, more resilient credit union for the future.”

Additionally, he said in embodying the cooperative spirit of collaboration, solidarity, and mutual support, the NCCU signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nevis Cooperative Credit Union Ltd. in September 2024.

“This strategic partnership marks a significant step in expanding the accessibility and convenience of financial services for our members across the region, fostering greater financial inclusion and cooperation within the movement,” Paul noted.

In the meantime, Paul pointed out that a key milestone of the year was the official launch of the Member Care Centre on January 30, 2024.

“This initiative was conceptualized to enhance the member experience by centralizing inquiries and ensuring prompt and efficient service,” Paul revealed.
