No Calypso Tent tonight, says Showdown Mas Camp

Showdown Mas Camp has issued a press statement communicating to the public about the cancellation of “calypso tent tonight Friday, February 14, 2025”. This is ue to the calypso Semi-Finals to be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025. However, the organization will host a Kaiso Lime on Sunday, February 16, 2025, which will commence at 5:00 PM at the Vineyard on Cork Street in Roseau.

The Showdown Mas Camp tent will resume its activities on Friday, February 21, 2025, at the Paradise Pier in Lala Coco, situated on the Loubiere highway. A significant performance is scheduled for Saturday, February 22, 2025, starting at 8:30 PM at the Backyard Chill and Grill in Grand Fond.

The statement went on to say that Showdown Mas Camp Champ of the Tent competition will occur on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, beginning at 8:30 PM, and will include the participation of two Calypsonians from St. Lucia.

This Champ of the Tent event is set to bring to a close the Showdown Mas Camp Calypso tent season for 2025.

The statement concluded with showdown Mas Camp asking “the public to support the calypso Semi-finals on Saturday, February 15, 2025 and the rest of the Showdown Mas Camp tent season.”
